I've mentioned Pinaccle numerous times on Major Wager.

I dont want to fight. Can't we all just get along?

Tony I respect your opinion and you may be right. I may lose that bet. But on the flip side I think its kind of dumb for you to say that if you have not seen the Tyson fight. If you didnt see the Tyson fight you have no idea what kind of monster shots he took without going down. Vitali is not going to hit him like that. In my opinion he will try to pick him apart and that will take some time.

Then again, I have not seen the Sam fight so maybe I am not the brightest bulb on the Xmas tree. However, I would be careful about having such a strong opinion when you havent seen a guys last fight. Fighters can change and become different fighters. It happens.

I could be wrong on this. Danny could get wild and leave himself open for a big shot. I could lose, I've only seen Danny fight one time. But the guy I saw fight Tyson had a great chin. Vitali couldnt finish Sanders off in 7.5 and he was a fat out of shape slob for a fighter. I think Vitali will use the same approach as he used with Sanders. Pick him apart and out box him.

I cant believe what I started here. Kind of amusing if you ask me. Anyways did anyone get Moorers weight????

As far as Klitschko-Williams, I wouldnt sleep on Danny here. I think if he gets caught early he will try and fight back bravely, but will fail. If he can catch Vitali first, then he will have a good shot. One thing he showed against Tyson was his ability to finish off an oponent. Say what you want about Mike, but he had a great chin. Danny hit him with I believe 20 straight shots to the head to take him down. I guarentee any other heavyweight wouldnt last that long. Vitali could take a few, but a 260 pound guy nailing you will hurt, no matter how tough you are. I say small play on Williams by KO

Moore weighed in at 247. I nailed Jirov at -270. Now its like -330 at Pinny and -360 at 5dimes. I agree with you about the Williams by KO prop. Im going to do a little hedge with that.

along with cotto inside the distance....

lets face it...guys like bailey have seen better days.......after seeing diobelys hurtado paralyze randall bailey with one body shot a few years back,i`d say that cotto inside the distance parlayed with your favorite play might be worth a look.....

cotto`s body work is scary good....and i have to believe that they saw film of the hurtado fight.....

he might respect bailey`s right hand early, but this turns into an ugly beatdown....

After perusing Bailey's record, I too feel he will get dismantled. Went under as I am hoping he will bang will Cotto knowing he can't last/win the fight any other way. I think the round prop will be a tight one, but thet's my play.

First post of many to come on the fight game. I like Moorer +300 at no particular book. I am not 'shilling' for anyone. I saw the weigh in on TV. Moorer appears to have a Balco connection.

What a cast of players in this place. I know many from other forums, but have to jump in the boxing mix here and want to remain an annonymous poster.

My reasoning. First post, first winner. Everyone can't be right or people wouldn't have jobs or money.:103631605

A few good points mentioned in this thread between the squabling. Moorer's weight appears to be a negative, but he didnt look to flabby at the weigh in. Very big lats. Odd as it seems, it may really is his last chance. Next step is ESPN then Baltimore Maxboxing fights. Southpaw stance, and did I mention I respect the opening number more than the closing/shaded number? Since the summer, the openers have been a bit more solid in the name bouts. I think because more people know the players names and follow them more closely. I don't think this forum, Major Wager and Mad Jacks pushed this line up.

For the future, some thoughts, from an insider/outsider looking in. Dont criucify me.

Almy....gets to the point, but perhaps posts too soon if he bets as big as he says, not questioning it, you have proved it in my opinion and if you buy into the conspiracy theory maybe you should hide out and beard your bets in. I always felt if tyou have an opinion, unless its an agenda, why make everyone money. No one cares in the long run.

Spinc..........is very sharp. Worth reading. Gets excellent discussions going that keep the boards alive.

Gil................I don't see much more than yes man and touting, but thats your thing. Dont make an enemy out of me. I think you may have an account where I work. Lets remain civil.

Odessa...........appears to have a temper and take the game serious. I have followed him and think he would not be the man if he were unethical. To lose him would be like throwing out the computer, before they had computers.

Frank...........seems like a good type old timer that just calls it like he see's it. I like his style, win or lose.

Valdosta...........gets little respect here, but has Odessas respect which is enough for me to take a look. I am now a member at BoxFan, so I see you are the real deal.

TMontana..........may be the best foreign bout poster. Those bouts are very tough and often crooked.

I work in a sports office, so I read here and the other spots and read between the lines. I also post under a different name at an unmentioned forum, but not here. I agree with Odessa in that my work details along with anyone elses bet sizes, locations, etc should be confidential. I hope you gentlemen respect that. This is something many people dont understand. Its a small world and private details are no ones business.

I also have a theory. Sorry O. I think he often does not post a line 1st on purpose. Reason being is he may want to bet somenone elses opener. Thats fair in my opinion and just a hunch. His rep was gained betting initially, so why put handcuffs on him now. As a person working in an office, I like to know what side of a game or fight he is really on. He would not have been too smart to open Krasniqi 11.5 o -125 when there were 7.5's out there at the time. I think he had a strong opinion on that and most likely bet it heavily.

These are my thoughts. I anxiously await my welcome aboard. I cannot post from the office I work, they restrict that for reasons and problems that are all too apparent in this thread.

Tom Arnold and the rest of the guys actually do a pretty good job presenting fights. I never thought that humor and good fights could go together, but it seems all so natural when done by Arnold. He genuinely got Jirov to laugh after a very tough loss. He even cracked on Moorer and his head. :103631605

Beginners luck. Anyone want a boxing capper? LOL. Fell 9. Sharp total.

Also left out TGood and Hardcore and probably a few others.........they are super sharp and always friendly.

Moorer KOs Jirov!
In a meaningful battle of former world champions, IBF #15 Michaell Moorer scored a ninth round knockout over IBF #13 heavyweight Vassiliy Jirov Thursday night at the Pechanga Resort in Temecula, CA. A head clash in round three dropped Moorer to his knee for an eight count by referee Pat Russell. Jirov sustained a cut on the scalp in the same head clash, then was cut over the right eye by another headbutt in round seven. Russell took a point away from Jirov in round eight and after that, the fighters engaged in the best two-way action in the fight. The fighters continued to exchange in the ninth and Moorer connected with a left hook that floored Jirov. Vassiliy got very wobbley amd the bout was stopped.

....

I am glad OD didn't open at -190 like he thought about, I would have gotten crushed on this fight. When I got up Wednesday though I saw -270 and that was not bettable. Jirov really should move back down to CW, he isn't a very good heavyweight. Good call AllDonKingsHorses.

Damn I didnt expect that. Lost a dime and some change on that. Jirov does some really dumb things. He was doing his thing and outboxing him for most of the fight. Obviously Moores the bigger stronger guy. Why sit there in the inside toe to toe with him when you can outbox him? It just doesnt make sense. I also thought that Jirov looked in bad physical shape. He had no muscle tone whatsoever. I really question how hard he trains for these fights.

I didnt see that one coming. I thought Jirov was going to outbox him. Looks like the books cleaned up on this one. Moore changed his attitude for this fight also. Thats what I really didnt expect and was betting against, his hunger. But still, Jirov should have been able to outbox him.

How do you let dumb and dumber do the commentary on for your boxing? Seriously, those two are morons. That Barry Tomkins was too busy blowing Jirov and not watching the fight. They are beyond bad.

almly...you hit the nail right on the head...jirov was comfortably ahead on my card anyway...and was easily using the jab and some combinations with a little movement to freeze moorer....

moorer`s feet and legs are still 37 year old feet and legs.....he never was nuriyev even in his prime...

i think maybe the head and eye cuts along with the point deduction may have made him feel a little anxious and he decided to step on the gas a bit.....

a huge mistake to lay inside with the bigger guy whose only chance to win was for jirov to do just exactly that...

make no mistake...moorer is still pretty immobile and this by no means makes him a contender....he got a little lucky tonight....

on second thought, after looking at the current heavyweight crop, maybe he is a contender....lol

tomorrow you get it back,almly...

btw, robert "the ghost" guerrero wins by 4th round k.o.....keep your eye on this guy....
