919 Chicago Cubs -119 for Game

This is for tomorrow's (Tuesday the 5th) game. Don't worry, I won't be betting the Cubs every game.

Chicago Cubs ML -119 risking $357 to win $300

All good. I won on both Chicago teams both nights! GL tonight...

At the park. Warm and sunny. Wind was blowing in when I got here around 10 but it's a calm wind and seems to be shifting right to left. Shouldn't be much of an issue. Javy gets a start today and Soler gets the cleanup spot. I like our chances to not get limited to 3 or less by Bergman. Just locked in:

Cubs TT Over 4 -121 risking $363 to win $300

Kris Bryant with 2 homers tonight (one grand slam) and 6 RBI... let's go!! I need to stop being so selective... was planning to hit the Cubs TT over today seeing Finnegan for the 2nd time in 10 days but laid off. Will try to open things up a bit moving forward.

Thanks, brother. Can't recall watching a game that dominant... ever. One of those games where absolutely everything goes your way!

 • After another blowout win last night, the Chicago Cubs have scored 105 runs on the season, by far the most in baseball. The Cardinals come in second at 92 runs, albeit in one fewer game than the Cubs. Even more incredibly, the 38 runs the Cubs have allowed this year are the fewest in baseball, and that’s despite playing in one more game thus far than many other teams. Let me state that again clearly so that the impact is not lost on you: this Cubs team has scored THE MOST RUNS in baseball, and SIMULTANEOUSLY ALLOWED THE FEWEST RUNS in baseball. It might not last all year, but holy wonkers.
 • Indeed, so strong is the Cubs’ performance thus far that their 13-4 record actually undersellstheir performance(!). Their Pythagorean record (a way of determining what a team’s record should be based on runs scored and allowed) is actually 15-2! Their second and third order records at BP (another way of trying to strip out random flukes by looking more at underlying player performance) is also 15-2! Their Base Runs record at FanGraphs (again, stripping away luck) is 14-3! The Cubs are 13-4 so far and they’ve been statistically unlucky to have that record!

Not really. The only concern I have is Maddon trying to limit his innings a bit to save him for the postseason which could cost him a win or two if we break a tie the inning after he's pulled but in terms of conditioning this guy is a FREAK. His workout routine and regimen is insane and he covers all the bases including nutrition, pilates, strength training... everything. I don't know all the details about players on other teams but I'd be shocked if there's someone who prepares themselves better than Jake. In regards to performance it should be expected for him to regress a bit but that's only because he just had what was literally the best second half of a season... ever. His stuff is nasty and he is a smart pitcher that should do more than enough to put him in position for at least 16 wins. Of course, it doesn't hurt that our offense should put up plenty of runs as well.

Saw his postgame interview in his sleeveless. He looked in great shape, especially for a pitcher.
