perhaps you been dippin in the metaxa.....Greece are highly incompetent and
atrocious. Ludicrus, simply ludicrus. This game could be over at the half.
(first half: Nor 1-0, 2nd half: Nor 2-0, the final score). I don't know what ouzo infested greek team you been watching, this team struggles to cross
the center. Defence....Jesus almighty...simply non existent. Offence...offence?...where...take the time to look at their front 7, starters and bench warmers - recognize any game brakers...duhh.
IF THERE is truly a value, it is on the Norway team.

(this type of play highly complements the SCOTLAND over France.)
(italy match total over...way over.

5 units: Norway on the money line
1.5 units: Scotland win
3 units: Italy over the total (way over)

I don't give a @#$$$
mind losing the 1.5 and 3 units...Norway is the Monthly gift
from the Books (they don't give many). What is the matter with you!
ARE you really playing greece?...or just testing the ignorance of various
forum members..

fuck off this thread.

there's a huge chance this game is not going to start, right now ref. is checking the field after a huge rainfall, and that's we got on our tv screens him walking along the field kicking the ball around, I ll keep you posted. Hopefully the game won't start because as usual rain is a huge equaliser, a handicap for the better, attacking, or home team. I 'll keep you posted.

quantum, I'm not that keen on nords, but they don't really bother me either, by far better than some other races I got in mind. Unfortunately we had the turks conquer us instead and "inflict" their "civilization" on us for just about four hundred years, this set things a tad back admittedly, but that's history with it's up and downs.

Greece are putting in an excellent performance and have dominated almost all the first half excecpt for a few minutes where the norwegians got a few counter attacks their way. They are demonstrating all the elements a lot of us admired during the euro reign, namely, team spirit, lots of running and covering up spaces, an almost impenetrable defence, some great individual player performances etc. etc. and of course some very good offensive play because the norwegians are no france or italy let's face it. And all that despite a horrible playing field and the heavy and prolonged rainfall. Which brings us to a 1-0 first half, with a few more good chances for a second goal and everything looking up.

some people insist on underpricing the europian champions, too bad for them, and we get a great opportunity with the pk at 1.77 (available at most exchanges, bet365 and some even better prices in a few other shops). Pinnacle have wisened up and are offering -1/4 for Greece. I am going to play it safe here and take the pk line, it's a very common phenomen to see quite a few big time upsets with national teams in such a competition, witness england and france last time around, so Greece cannot be an exception. However I can't see how this game can move away from the draw or away win. Hence I ll be putting my 10% down to my home team. My reasearch on Bosnia reveals that they are nothing to write home about, but they are a tough team too, and of course they are muslims, aka (and I am not aligning myself in no way with the dubya camp here) backword fanatics. Well since none in this forum seem to be bosnian females we should all be thanking our lacky charm because we got it good essentially, while women in muslim countries have got it really, really, atrociously bad. Btw, let me keep my good luck charm and end on a note about the aussies, who btw again I really like and who I got a lot of (shhhshhh...) during the summer. It seems they ve learned their lesson and are laying one of the lowest prices around for greece, sadly they drew at home in the weekend to paraguya.

4-0 final. Fans were fighting in the stands. Do you suppose our own Jackie was amongst them?

Nice outcome Jack.

cheers guys, 0-4 away win suffices so I need not say anything more about the game. And no, jackie wasn't among the 100 greek fans, part of the u.n. "peace" corps installed in the area (it's been ten years since the quasi civil war over there, and you got to see a football game to realise that they still have foreign troops in the area in aid of the muslims...because of course fucking c and fucking nn won't be telling us this anytime soon, this should tell us all something about world politics), but sitting in a bar enjoying the game with an non alcoholic beverage, which was such a walk over I was mostly chatting about with friends. I 've re-read my "analysis" of the game and it's good to know I can still manage a winning pick amidst my ramblings on feminism in the muslim countries and some non sequitors on the aussies, lmao.

fuck, I couldn't even find my thread to post.

Been up to the neck with just about everything so I couldn't post my midweek cl selections on the greek teams, which faired quite well (the bets, not the teams that is) and that's a shame, but that's over and done with. I 've not looked at anything for the weekend so it's more of a heads up post than anything else, that I 'll most probably be around to post what I 'll be on, and hopefully we can have some more good things coming in our way. I also gotta bump my thread lol cause I got to be able to find it myself next time.

as per usual, bol and stay on top of this game.

Here we go.

Xanthi over Kerkyra at 1.68 (these are combined odds from a few bookmakers I 've placed my money on, you might be able to find it at around 1.66 if you don't have that many outs, or at least similar to mine, nb the line is dropping, well worth it at this price too) for 7.5% Bet365 has a good price on the handicap which is an option too, if they've not cut down your limits to something ludicrous that is. We 've been so far burned by Xanthi but recent developments are making this a very enticing bet.

Nothing so far looks of great value, I am going to wait for latest team news, any inside info, weather reports blah, blah, to place a couple or so more bets. I am also betting the epl and few europian match ups but I ll most probably won't have the time to go over these here.

Bol.

It's a good bet john.

So here's what I am on. It's been a very slow season admittedly and one where I ve missed quite a few betting opportunities due to having other endeavours alongside betting that have taken up a king's share of the time pie, so to speak. Case in point the euroleague bball games where all the greek teams made convincing wins. I 'd been tracking the transfer market for the euroleague and I made a mental note to bet the greek teams that in view of the final four being hosted in greece have been greatly strengthened. First week of games rushes in, and I don't even notice it...They 'll be plenty of games ahead. But betting isn't something that should either be forced or take up time from other important things, and that is something one has to always bear in mind, it's good if you can turn a profit, but you always pay a price with time, so, it's a fine balance there. On with the few bets I m on.

Aek -1.5 at 1.92 for 7.5% (again this is a combined price from a few outs so as to get my required amount of capital matched, pinnacle's price is at 1.96, betfair has prices at the high 1.8's low 1.9's etc. etc.) Only the russians at fonbet have got this one set where it should be, or just about, at 1.75. Aek is hot at the moment, things have started to click in with the team, they are playing against possibly the weakest team in the championship who's coming in with five very important players out, weathers good, ref's are seemingly on our side, playing field is in mint condition blah, blah, blah, and jackie will be watching the game up close which by itself is enough to sway any result, lol, because if push comes to shove you 'll finally get a look at old jackie as he's sprinting into the field, jimmy jump style, punching the ref senseless and getting the game annuled. But I am confident that we won't have to resort to such measures.

Chalk with Olympiakos at 1.18 (again some might find better prices here) for 7%.

Also.

Xanthi +1/4 for 2.03 (you can get better prices for this one) for 7.5% Xanthi if anyone's noticing has been a huge moneyburner this season for me, so be it, I am confident in this team, and confident in their overcoming their crises. It's always an issue to avoid chasing teams that are underperforming but that you 've capped them as strong and feel confiden in their gaining their form. And it's surely the safest way to bet teams that are currently playing well as opposed to ones that should and will but aren't for some reason. And it's a vulnerability I have in sometimes overestimating the out of form teams. Maybe with Xanthi I should have waited out on a few games. But this is not one of them, and the fact that we are getting a quarter of a goal on our side, and an above 50% winning chance, is to me a bargain mainly due to the perrenial oblivion of regression to the mean punters seem to be in. The ultimate judge of this is however the football field itself.

Wish I can find some time to cap a few more games, we 'll see.

Aek should very well go into chriscol's underperforming cl teams thread this week, as they played along with this scenario to the iota. They dominated the first half, scored an early goal and then sat back to a horrible performance for the remaining game, barely ensuring even their victory. They did miss a few chances, but it seems their mind was anywhere but on the playing field. Coach Ferer's tactical changes, using a lot of players with minimal time in previous games, and messing up the team, went along with that and added insult to injury. We lose, we learn, and that's important too.

As I got a ticket in the upper part of the stadium, and hadn't brought along my flying polycarbonate wings, I couldn't really do a jimmy jump from up there , could of done a jimmy falls flat on the ground stunt but wasn't feeling that suicidal to tell you the truth. So with the losing pick some here missed a chance to see my not so ugly face on the news.

Olympiakos win kind just barely lessened the % loss, but it did made me very angry at myself for not pulling the trigger on the handicap against olympiakos or the lucrative under bet. It seems, you don't only lose to learn, you also not bet and learn.

In any case a good performance by Xanthi in my other bet of the weekend should either just about even things up, or we might even end with a profit.

Bol.

Jack.

p.s. at least john you got your parley your way, and that's something.
