Last night we hit on BOTH NHL plays, but BYU let us down on the NCAA front, winning but not covering.

Tonight I have 2 plays for you.

NCAA Basketball
Seton Hall +5 vs Michigan State was on my radar. Once again MSU will face off against a very good team early in the season, a scenario which historically hasn’t been good for the Spartans. This time, that tough early season opponent is Seton Hall. Michigan State is a team that follows a consistent path. So many times they have underperformed early, and then Izzo molds what he has into a potential Final Four team by March. But the problem is there’s no way to gauge Winston’s mental state as he still has to be coping with the death on Sunday of his brother. He played that night, and played well. But grieving is a funny thing, and the emotions he played both with and through on Sunday may be different today. Add into the mix that Seton Hall’s Myles Powell is a game time decision, and I’ve regrettably been forced to remove this pick. There’s just too much up in the air to go in on this play.

NHL
Again, last night we had 2 winners. Tonight there is only one play.
Carolina -135 vs Buffalo.
Buffalo gave their hockey starved fans an early treat to start the season. But now they are in the midst of what has become all too common in recent years, the SWOON. And boy are they swooning. The Sabres have lost 5 in a row, and 6 of 7. In those 7 games they have 12 goals. I’m sorry, but 1.7 goals per game isn’t gonna get it done versus anyone in the NHL. Yes, they’ve scored 5 in the last 2 games, but those games where in Sweden, where the travel and distractions contributed in the 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] game to some opportunities not even the Sabres could miss. They scored 3 goals in the final game. Too bad they gave up 5, and both those games were winners for us. Tonight they go up against Carolina, who just put up 8 on Ottawa Monday night. The Hurricanes are as streaky as team as there is in the NHL. They have had winning streaks of 5 and 3, to go with losing streaks of 3 and 4. That accounts for 15 of their 18 games. So we have a bad offense going against a streaky team that just scored 8 goals. There’s no key injuries, and Buffalo is streaking with 5 losses. Get on Carolina with good odds at -135.

NFL
Open up a TRIPLE DIP TEASER on Cleveland and the Under.
Right now at most books the numbers are Cleveland -3 and 41.5. We are gonna take that and make is
Cleveland +7 and under 48.5. This game SCREAMS under. Both teams are going to try and get a ground game going. Neither team has a great offense. Both teams have had their games go under the 48.5 point threshold 66% of the time this season. And this is a divisional rivalry game on a short week. Which also bodes well for our Cleveland +7 portion of the dip, as a home team getting 7 points in a divisional game is a gift. Take it. We’ll leave the third leg open until the weekend.

Split yesterday with a NCAA football and basketball win, but lost on the 2 NHL plays.

NFL
Did you remember we still have an OPEN Triple Dip/Teaser? We do and it's the carryover from Thursday. We are going to close it with Dallas and dip them from -7 to +3 vs a Stafford-less Lions team. Detroit has historically given the Cowboys fits, but not today. They are overmatched and will be overwhelmed. With no Kerryon Johnson, no Matthew Stafford, and a man 2 man defense that will be torched by Cooper and Gallup and their crossing routes, plus a top notch running game in Zeke, the Cowboys should handle the Lions with ease. If they don't, Jason Garrett better start look at the HELP WANTED section of his local newspaper. There's NO reason Dallas should lose this game. The match up better at EVERY position. Let's close out this dip and get our cash.

NCAA BASKETBALL
St. Louis +4
This one is interesting. St. Louis beat Seton Hall outright last season on the road. Seton Hall has a habit of laying an egg after a straight up loss (2-9 ATS), of which they are coming off of versus Michigan State. St. Louis is terrible from the stripe, but it's a young season and if they can hit those free throws, they might not only cover, but could win this one outright. The line in and of itself doesn't make sense. I'd have thought Seton Hall would have been favored by closer to 10 points. When lines don't make sense, more often than not going with the oddity ends up MAKING sense. Here it's a small play on the Billikens +4.

NBA
I told you before, I will NEVER LIE to you. I've been abysmal on the NBA this year. So, fade me if you like until I heat up (which I will). But today I'm taking a simple Money Line play on the hottest NBA team around - the Boston Celtics. I can't possibly jinx them can I? Until they lose, I'm going to ride them as long as the ML provides value, which today it does. Take
Boston -140.

HAPPY HUNTING!

Two picks today

NFL
Los Angeles Chargers +6

This Chargers team has it's season on the line. It almost has to win out to get to the playoffs, and it absolutely cannot absorb more than 1 additional loss. Fortunately for them, the KC Chiefs are about as screwed up of a 'contender' as I've ever seen. Sure, Mahomes can throw, and Hill and Kelce can catch. But their defense is SO pathetic, it's almost hard to imagine. They made Derrick Henry look like a cross between Barry Sanders and O.J. Simpson last week. Playing in Mexico is the wild card. If that field is in good shape (and yes, there's history to be concerned about there) then KC is in real trouble. Because the Chargers can run the football. That feeds directly into the weakest area of the Chief defense. The public is all over KC, which is another reason to like the Chargers. Also, Philip Rivers plays his best football on the back 9 of the season. I like the Chargers and the points.

NCAA BASKETBALL
Kentucky -25

Kentucky coming off a loss to Evansville. Man would I hate to be the team they face next. And it's not even a power team. It's Utah Valley. WHO? Yeah, Utah Valley. Their odds to compete in this game were close to zero BEFORE the Wildcats crapped the bed last week vs. Evansville. Kentucky will POUND this team tonight. Frankly, I thought the line would be over 30, so it's a bargain at 25. Don't be a bridge jumper and hop on the outrageous ML. Just lay the 25 with confidence. I don't usually play these big lines. Tonight is an exception.

A free look at what's on www.JackWinningham.com today!

NBA

Washington -3.5

Sacramento is banged up, on a East Coast swing, and shot like they had their eyes closed the other night at Brooklyn. Add to that the Wizards have covered the last SIX times the Kings have come to town, and we have trends near and far pointing towards Washington. I like trends. I like Washington.

NFL

Cincinnati +6.5

Sometimes you have to look at bad teams and look for when and where they will eek out one of their few wins. Today that's the Bengals at home, vs the Steelers. Pittsburgh has been mired in controversy, suspensions, and fines. With no Pouncey, no Schuster-Smith, no Conner, Pittsburgh is ripe for the picking. Plus, the best historic play is "Home Dog/Same Division". I'm on the Bengals and taking the 6.5 points.

My Trip Dips have fallen short lately, but you can mix and match these as you like (These lines are dipped by TEN)

Giants/Bears over 30.5

Patriots +5

Packers/49ers under 58

Jaguars/Titans under 52

NHL

Florida -133 vs Buffalo

Carolina -185 vs Detroit

I always love to bet against bad teams when they are in a bad streak.

WOW! I really enjoyed our 4-0 sweep of the board yesterday!
Mega profits to end the week!

Tonight is a light night for pros, but I think it's a DALLAS night!

NBA

Dallas

This line opened at Clippers -3, but the money is flowing to Dallas, pushing it to -1.5. The Clippers are 1-4 ATS on the road, and I think that trend continues tonight against the Mavs.

NHL

Dallas -111

The red hot Dallas Stars, winners in 10 of their last 11, storm into Chicago tonight. Expect them to take care of business on the road vs a Blackhawk team that is riding a 3 game losing streak, the last of which came at the hands of the Stars.

NCAA BASKETBALL

Missouri under 131.5 vs Okalahma

Missouri has played 6 games this season. All six have gone under the posted total. Oklahoma has gone under 4 out of their 6 games. This screams under - yet the line is set at 131.5.

Hop on the under today.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING! Today a free peak at 2 winners from www.JACKWINNINGHAM.com

November 28, 2019

Today is a day reserved for football, and college hoops. No NBA and only 1 NHL game on the docket.

NFL
Chicago ML -240

This line opened at Chicago -1 and has been bet up to as high as -6.5. Chicago WILL win this game. But -1 sure looks better than laying 6.5. Skipping over to the ML, it sits at -240. I HATE laying those odds on what I consider below average football team at this point – Chicago. But they are heads and tails above the Lions. Offensively, the Lions will be hemmed in all day, and likely won’t get out of the teens for a final score. The question then becomes “Can the Bears score 20 or more points?”. Yes – they can. But I don’t like the 6.5 line one bit. This will be a very similar game as the one the Bears played on Sunday vs the Giants. Slow, boring, and close. But the Bears bring more to the table, and there’s an old saying about football I agree with: “At this point of the season, you’re either getting better, or you’re getting worse”. The Bears are going in one direction (getting better), while the Lions (right on cue) are going in the other.
Chicago ML -240 (Don’t make it a huge bet – I’m doing a little play to win $50).

NCAABB
North Carolina -3 vs Michigan

Once again, we have an early season match up between the ACC and Big Ten. The ACC has historically dominated these games, and will again today. Both are undefeated, but the Tar Heels have already won 2 conference games vs Notre Dame (won by 10) and Alabama (won by 9) by margins that would triple the line today vs UM. Today will be the biggest test for Michigan, who has quality wins over Creighton and Iowa State. Today is a HUGE test for the Wolverines, and I just don’t think at this point they are ready for a team like North Carolina. NC has a crummy ATS record this year (1-4), the Tar Heels are ranked 6[SUP]th[/SUP] nationally for a reason. Likewise, the Wolverines aren’t ranked for a reason. That will be clearer to the public after today’s game at 1:30 PM EST.

JUST AN OUTSTANDING WEEKEND!
www.Jackwinningham.com

December 2, 2019

Great weekend! 11-2 overall with a Triple Dip Time Zone winner - and the hedge came in and gave us a MIDDLE! This is why I bet. Weekends like this!
But no time to rest - on to Monday.

NFL

SEATTLE -2.5 over Minnesota

Seattle is primed for a big win tonight. The Vikings are dreadful ATS after a bye week. Losing close to 80% of the time. Seattle is a big Prime Time game team. Vikings on Monday night road games are 0-7 ATS. I could go on, but nearly every trend favors Seattle. And the most important factor? Russell Wilson will outplay Kirk Cousins.

NHL

NY Islanders -202 vs Detroit

Detroit's losing skid hit 9 games vs Washington on Saturday (a win for us). They've lost 5 straight by 2 or more goals. This is a BAD hockey club. Keep betting against the Dead Wings until they win.

NBA

Sacramento -5 over Chicago

I'm delving back into the NBA. The Kings opened at -3 over the Bulls. The line has been pushed to -5.5. I still like it, but not as much. Make this a small play.

13-3 run since Saturday! Hope you are cashing tickets and beating your books! I'ts been a really profitable few days! We won yesterday on Seattle in the NFL and the Islanders in the NHL. Our lone NBA pick fell, but we've made a boatload of cash overall. Some days are packed full of action, but although there are lots of games today, I am only zeroing in on a single play.

NCAA BASKETBALL
Duke +6.5 vs Michigan State

I don't think I can recall a day where Duke was getting 6.5 points. Especially against an unfocused Michigan State squad that is 0-5 ATS this season. Just like when they played Kentucky, I expect MSU to lose outright. The Izzo methodology is to learn from these games, and build his tournament team over time and during the Big-10 season. Sure, he'd love to win tonight, and in these ACC vs Big 10 games. But nobody remembers games lost in November or December in March - provided you make a good run in the Tourney. Plus MSU has had off the court issues taking away focus, such as the tragic death of Winton's brother. Duke already had it's hiccup game vs SFA, and Coach K will have them ready for tonight.
