There is much better material on the weekend, so see no reason to glamorize AC Milan any more than already has been done. Nonetheless, see no other option but a play on Milan, as I suspect Livorno is looking down the road to Saturday's match with Inter Milan. Let's face it, if you are going to rest members of your core unit, it's going to be today, and not on Saturday, against hated Inter Milan.
The logical and sensible play is under 2.5, and Milan at moneyline.
I'm hoping for some sloppy football from the visitor, to produce the following:

For me it's going to be
AC Milan -1 and -1.5 -115 (3.5 units)
Over 2.5 -101 (2.5 units)

A parlay option would be:
AC Milan -0.5 -310 (Today)
Ascoli pk -110 (Serie B Saturday)
Torino pk and +0.5 +104 (Serie A Sunday)

best of luck,

MA

AC MILAN 1 LIVORNO 1
0W-2L (-6.55 units)
(No country for old men...)

SERIE B SATURDAY:
Ascoli at SPEZIA
Ascoli pk -105 (5.5 units)

SERIE A SUNDAY:
Torino at SIENA
Torino pk and +0.5 +105 (5.5 units)

Best of luck to all,

MA

Greetings,<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>
Following some mixed results in midweek Serie A and B, will enter the weekend with the following SEASON YTD numbers.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
SERIE A 2007 / 2008 EDITION YTD: 140W – 120L – 66T (+96.28 units)<o:p></o:p>
SERIE B 2007 / 2008 EDITION YTD: 97W – 94L – 45T (-4.56 units)<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
Just recapping two plays which I have already posted, both of which I strongly believe in:<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
SERIE B SATURDAY:<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
Ascoli at SPEZIA<o:p></o:p>
Ascoli pk -105 (5.5 units)<o:p></o:p>
Don’t let Ascoli’s road record intimidate you; fact of the matter is that Spezia is a garbage team with garbage ambitions. Ascoli took out <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:City><st1:place>Lecce</st1:place></st1:City> in midweek play with a valiant 2-1 effort, playing a portion of the match down 1 man. First encounter in week 5, saw Ascoli beat Spezia 1-0 nil. Saturday’s result should produce another victory for Ascoli, as Spezia’s recent form shows that they are unable to generate offensive chances, and are consistently collapsing on defense, especially in the second half.<o:p></o:p>
Adding:<o:p></o:p>
Ascoli -0.5 +192 (2 units)<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
SERIE A SUNDAY:<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
<st1:place>Torino</st1:place> at <st1:City><st1:place>SIENA</st1:place></st1:City><o:p></o:p>
<st1:place>Torino</st1:place> pk and +0.5 +105 (5.5 units)<o:p></o:p>
Line reflects <st1:place>Torino</st1:place>’s current road struggles, and not the current form that has seen them win 2 in a row for the first time this year. This is somewhat a pivotal game for both of these teams, who are separated in the standings by a mere 4 points (<st1:place>Torino</st1:place> with 24pts – <st1:City><st1:place>Siena</st1:place></st1:City> with 20pts). There is no doubt that <st1:place>Torino</st1:place> has been underachieving all year, and is far superior to <st1:City><st1:place>Siena</st1:place></st1:City> in all aspects. First encounter in week four produced a boring 1-1 draw, and could see the same on Saturday; though I have a strong suspicion that the Toro might come and play for the win, and create some breathing room from the bottom of the table. Moneyline for the Toro is at +295 and climbing, as such might play 1 unit or 2, instead of adding to the pk and +0.5.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
SERIE B SATURDAY<o:p></o:p>
<st1:City><st1:place>Grosseto</st1:place></st1:City> at <st1:City><st1:place>RIMINI</st1:place></st1:City><o:p></o:p>
Week five encounter saw <st1:City><st1:place>Grosseto</st1:place></st1:City> upset <st1:City><st1:place>Rimini</st1:place></st1:City> 2-1. If I’m not mistaken, and if my memory serves me right, <st1:City><st1:place>Rimini</st1:place></st1:City> had taken a 1-0 nothing lead in the first half, before collapsing in the second half by conceding two goals to <st1:City><st1:place>Grosseto</st1:place></st1:City> for the unexpected result. Obviously there is a revenge factor here, but let’s look at some parameters of total futility with respect to <st1:City><st1:place>Grosseto</st1:place></st1:City>. On the road this year: 0W – 4T – 8L, with 5 goals scored and 23 conceded. <st1:City><st1:place>Rimini</st1:place></st1:City> has won its last three straight games without conceding a single goal. If you factor this current form, with a strong desire to climb back in the standings, you have to expect that nothing but a victory against <st1:City><st1:place>Grosseto</st1:place></st1:City> will suffice. I think this one could get serious ugly, and the over 2.5 has good value for some consideration, but most important is a home victory by <st1:City><st1:place>Rimini</st1:place></st1:City>.<o:p></o:p>
<st1:City><st1:place>RIMINI</st1:place></st1:City> -0.5 and -1 +105 (7.5 units)<o:p></o:p>
Over 2.5 +116 (2.5 units)<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
The rest of the usual suspects in Serie B are as follows:<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
Mantova at <st1:City><st1:place>PISA</st1:place></st1:City><o:p></o:p>
Mantova +0.5 -114 (4.5 units)<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
<st1:City><st1:place>Modena</st1:place></st1:City> at ALBINOLEFFE<o:p></o:p>
<st1:City><st1:place>Modena</st1:place></st1:City> +0.5 -114 (3 units)<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
<st1:City><st1:place>Brescia</st1:place></st1:City> at <st1:City><st1:place>MESSINA</st1:place></st1:City><o:p></o:p>
<st1:City><st1:place>Brescia</st1:place></st1:City> pk and -0.5 +102 (4.5 units)<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
<st1:City><st1:place>Bari</st1:place></st1:City> at <st1:City><st1:place>RAVENNA</st1:place></st1:City><o:p></o:p>
Over 2 and 2.5 -106 (3 units)<o:p></o:p>
<st1:City><st1:place>Bari</st1:place></st1:City> pk and +0.5 -124 (3 units)<o:p></o:p>
In SERIE B, recommend <st1:City><st1:place>Rimini</st1:place></st1:City> at -0.5 an -1 as a best bet, and Ascoli at pk as solid medium play.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
IN SERIE A SATURDAY<o:p></o:p>
<st1:place>Livorno</st1:place> at INTER <st1:City><st1:place>MILAN</st1:place></st1:City><o:p></o:p>
<st1:place>Livorno</st1:place> +1.5 -103 (2 units)<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
Roma at JUVENTUS<o:p></o:p>
Roma pk and +0.5 -105 (4 units)<o:p></o:p>
Under 2.5 -111 (2 units)<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
AC Milan at <st1:City><st1:place>PARMA</st1:place></st1:City><o:p></o:p>
AC Milan -0.5 +105 (5 units)<o:p></o:p>
Over 2.5 +111 (2.5 units)<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
In Serie A: Medium play recommendations on Roma at pk and +0.5, and AC Milan at -0.5.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
Best of luck,<o:p></o:p>

Decent day in the B, horrendous one in the limited A card. Like many of the favourites on Sunday's A card, which is a no-no..

Serie A Sunday:

Torino at SIENA
Torino pk and +0.5 +103 (3.5 units)
(Already 5 units on the Toro, adding 3.5)

Udinese at REGGINA
Over 2 and 2.5 -111 (4 units)
Udinese pk +102 (3.5 units)

Sampdoria at GENOA
Sampdoria pk -117 (3 units)
Over 2 and 2.5 -117 (3 units)

Cagliari at PALERMO
Palermo -0.5 115 (3.5 units)

For Sunday Serie A, my only recommendation is a best bet on Torino at pk and +0.5.

Best of luck to all,

MA

Entering the weekend into the "B" and "A" with the following season YTD totals:

SERIE B: 101W - 98L - 46T (+1.395 units)
SERIE A: 147W - 126L - 67T (+95.65 units)

Early selection for SERIE B Saturday:

Rimini at MODENA
Rimini pk and +0.5 -128 (6.5 units)
Over 2 and 2.5 +107 (3.5 units)

(Don't think Rimini will hold an opponent scoreless for the 5th straight week. What is important is a clear indication that the once potent offense is beginning to resurface.

Piacenza at LECCE
LECCE -1 -112 (5.5 units)

(Too much firepower on offense and defense with respect to Lecce playing on home turf. Opponent's anemic offense will have tremendous difficulty piercing one of the best defenses in the B league)

Good luck,

MA

Continuing with SERIE B Saturday:

Chievo Verona at AVELLINO – The match between Bologna and Brescia should be a good one, with the strong possibility of a draw, as both teams are solid defensively at the midfield and at the back four. As such, this is a perfect opportunity for Chievo to – potentially – take sole possession in the standings. Factors which side heavily with the visitor: Chievo is arguably one of the best road teams in Serie B, having compiled an impressive record of 9W – 2L – 2T, with 21 goals scored and 16 allowed. Overall in their last 12 games, have managed to score 2 goals or more 9 times; in this same span they have amassed a record of 9W-2T-1L. In retrospect, Avellino his heading in the opposite direction having scored just 2 goals in last 6 games while conceding 12, en route to losing the last four. Looking beyond this game and you can see why Chievo will focus on winning this match. Next 2 games will be extremely tough, with a home game against Lecce (a game I think they most likely lose), followed by a road trip to Rimini who is surging up the table at the right time. Nothing is ever easy on the road, just look at what happened to Brescia last week against Messina, one of the worst offensive teams in the “B” league. Nonetheless, when the smoke clears after 90+ minutes of play, Chievo should walk away with another road victory.
Chievo -0.5 +109 (4.5 units)
Over 2 and 2.5 (2.5 units)

The rest of the "B" card

Pisa at TRIESTINA
Triestina pk -101 (3.5 units)

Bologna at BRESCIA
Brescia pk and -0.5 -107 (7.5 units)
(Bologna's defensive scheme, with the hope of a conservative and prescious draw, will not work against the fastest counter-attacking team in the B league).

Vicenza at ASCOLI
Ascoli -0.5 +114 (4 units)
Over 2 and 2.5 -107 (4 units)

Messina at TREVISO
Messina pk and +0.5 +114 (8 units)
(There is nothing in Treviso's current form that validates them spotting 0.25 goals, regardless of Messina's anemic road record, period.)

In summation:
Best bets on Brescia at pk and -0.5, and Messina at pk and +0.5.
Medium plays with good value are Rimini at pk and +0.5, and Lecce at -1

Best of luck,

Juventus at REGGINA

Factors:
  • Inter with tough task against Sampdoria tomorrow.
  • Roma with tough task against Fiorentina
  • Next week: Roma at Inter Milan
Many absences on the Juve squad. No Iaquinta, or Gigi Buffon. Nonetheless, visitor should manage to squeeze by host with remaining corps. If they fail today, we might hammer Roma tomorrow

Juventus -0.5 -121 (2.5 units)

Much, much better material tomorrow.

Best of luck,
