Why is the thought that Cousins could be better than RG version 42 so slanderous? In 1 single start, he threw for more yards than RG 42 has in all of the others. RG 42 has been just playing it safe all year

Look, yes, it does have something to do with race but race and history are on my side here.

If you are not a pocket passer, you will not be successful in the NFL. If you do not have a high IQ at the quarterback position, you will not be successful in the NFL.

Come on RG 42, was another couple inches on that Ngata hit from missing the rest of this year and likely most of next year never regaining "full strength" until 2014 season.

And since I know race will come up anyway, black quarterbacks generally have the shelf life of a running back and that is once they are 30, they are generally done. (Vince Young, Michael Vick)....I heard this same crap i hear now back in 2006 and 2007 about Vince Young from this forum, SBR, Doc's forum (whatever his name is on here) and everyone said the same thing they said then they are saying now. (Gynocologist will vouch on this) . These guys just are not cut out for NFL QB positions. It is not racist. Fort example, in high school, it is prob. better to have a black quarterback than a white one because that black guy can just use his athleticism to beat everyone prob. like Vince Young and Vick did in high school./

Long term, not enough sample size on Cousins, but I would take him over RG 42 long term. You will see. 3 or 4 years from now, it will be the same thing. Off season defenses will adjust to their gimmick pistol/ read option high school BS offense and all of a sudden next year, you know what we will hear from ESPN? One reporter will say "what is wrong with RG 42", while the other will come up with every imagineable excuse in the book blaming his line, lack of playmakers, etc.

Basically, guys like RG 42 continually regress, meaning this is the best you will see him be while guys like Luck, Peyton Manning( greatest QB ever), Brady, Eli, Brees, Rodgers all PROGRESSED. How can you aregue this. sorry, but part of it is skin color as it correlates to speed and most importantly IQ. The Colts are doing exactly with Luck that they did to Manning his rookie year. Throw him the entire playbook and you see how far he has come from week 1 vs the bears to now.

And speaking of regression, wasn't it last year at this time, everyone was raving about Cam newton? He has regressed and you have seen his best football.

As far as the point of Cousins vs RG 42, right now, I can't say difinitively he is better because he has played 1 game, but I will say statistically 3 years from now, he likely will be. The good thing about guys like Cousins is you can tell pretty fast if it will work for them as they are pocket passers and do not need the gimicky wildcat/ pistol offenses. Luck is 2nd in the league in turnovers this year, but there is a reason for that. He is dropping back 50 times a game and throwing it down the field more than any other NFL QB (same thing Manning did his rookie season when he threw 28 picks). The Colts lead the NFL in plays over 20 yards.

I guess it is this simple. Prototypical pocket passer with high IQ, size, and accurate arm will beat "athlete" quarterback just like books will win in long term. The athlete may get a nice 16 yard scramble on 3rd and 15 every now and then, but long term, they do not stay healthy.

One last poinrt, I did not even bring up actually staying on the field. redskins fans, you trust RG 42 to be on the field all 16 games? haha. Luck has the worst offensive line in the NFL and hasn't missed a SINGLE PLAY THIS YEAR JUST LIKE MANNING IN 1998. That is play, not game.

Lets see, Vick ( missed entire year after running around in preseason game, broken leg)
Vince Young ( in 6 NFL seasons, never played in all 16 games, and played in less than half in those seasons)
McNabb (although he thought he was a pocket passer, he proved he had a low IQ and he was always hurt)
RG 42 already has missed 1 game and it could have easily been much worse
Cam Newton: Low IQ, has half ass attitude, cares more about a superman pose, and has won I think 10 total games in 2 years)

some will yell "bigot" or "racist" "moron" or whatever, i have heard it all before online and some offline. But you know, I would never draft a white running back either in the 1st or 2nd round. So I must hate the most discriminated race in america too, the white male.

As a colt fan last april, I felt a little uneasy about the draft heading into april. Was relieved to see the colts didn't get caught up in the PC movement and did the best thing.

Also you know that rookie year was 3 injuries ago right? I suppose it is possible he gets back to that level, sure, why not?

Fans gonna fan I guess....

It was 3 injuries ago yet he looked just as mobile this year in preseason as he did before the injuries. Its fine if you think Cousins is better, but I personally haven't seen him do anything to make me think hes better than RG3

Even if he is better, thinking he is gonna stay healthy is crazy. Maybe at his optimal peak he was better but I just don't think that applies now. Dude is like 24 and he has already missed games because of 4 different injuries.

Thats a different argument. The dude is fragile and no doubt I question his ability to stay healthy. I mean he hurts himself without even being touched. But he is a better qb than Cousins.

This guy gets it huh? Dan Marino scored a 15 out of 50 on his Wonderlic test. Guess his low IQ worked out for him.

How's the high score of Fitzpatrick and McElroy working out?

Yeah because the preperation for the Wonderlic is the same now as it was in 1983...You will never admit RG 42 sucks. Cracks me up....Let me guess, Russell Wilson is great too??? You must be a pocket passer with a high IQ to have a chance to succeed in NFL football. It really is that easy. If you are not, you will not succeed long term.

Bottom line....RG 42 stinks. Admit it. When he was at his high, I still told you he stinks. Not to mention, 3 first round picks for homeboy? Looks like a good move. You knew you were screwed when homeboy did typical homeboy things....You know, run whenever pressure and say "its a party on the left hand, all work on the right"....That is when you officially knew he would suck.

I can think of many black qbs that got better later in their career.

Warren moon
doug williams
Cunningham
McNair.

All of the above got better later in their career.

Even Vick got better later on.

It is not racist if it is true. This is what you liberals never acknowledge. I am not racist. I love black quarterbacks as soon as they have an above average IQ, great footwork, don't get arrested, are accurate, don't run, and throw passes down the field, and progress in their development. Black quarterbacks regress, are turnover prone, and generally stupid......That is why they run the read option. Typical liberal, cant debate me so wants a ban. " He is picking on me"

nothing to debate.

you think that black people are less intelligent than white. that's racist. With your "theory" that whites are so much smarter, you think you'd be able to figure out what is racist.

One more comment and youll be on a vacation.

Since you obviously disagree, why are 399 out of 400 of the Forbes 400 white? These are people who created their own companies so no racist hiring practices are involved. Please tell me. I am a realist. I try not to live in the fantasy world although fantasy football is starting to grab me by the nuts.

You know I can only think of 2 instances in NFL history where a black qbs rookie season was their best season.
So your theory of regression leaves a lot to be desired.

Ban this clown

The guy is a clown but let him be a clown.
He is racist unlike Willie.
But if I were black I would not let this clown on the internet bother me.
Let racist be racist.
