Is Kirk Cousins as good as RGIII

Well, most nfl defenses have elite athleticism also. He still had over 480 yds rushing last year. Rg3 is clearly a better qb. Not even close. I made a rash decision after last week. Cousins is a siv.

So if his main skill is negated because it is harder to play that style in todays game then that is going to hurt his long-term prospects at QB.

I really don't know what is so hard to understand about the fact this guy has been 1 of the worst QBs in the NFL over a pretty large sample size now.

Atleast Cousins just had 2 good games before sucking last night.

Large sample size? Lmao. He's played two seasons and one of those seasons was probably the greatest season by any RC qb in history. And even after tearing up his knee he still put up decent numbers last year. You're just a jealous RG hater.

He struggled late in 2012, you're talking almost 20 games of ineffectiveness. His 2013 #s were not decent man, you can atleast admit he sucked last year.

I mean MAYBE he is salvageable with the right offense but I don't know why the Redskins thought he could handle Gruden's scheme. Gruden has wanted Cousins over him since training camp because atleast he is a pocket passer for better or worse.

3200 yards passing in 13 games when playing from behind as much as the Skins did is terrible. He averaged 7 ypa which was in the bottom tier of QBs last year. His QB rating was also in the bottom tier of QBs.

Not sure what you are even saying right now, you must've borrowed whatever chop has been using lately.

Then in the Jacksonville game he threw a 50+ yard dime to Jackson that should have been a catch but they called it incomplete. You're holding him to standards that aren't even realistic. What Cousins did last night is something RG3 would never do.

Lmao, the argument is between Kirk and RG3. I'm not arguing that he's better than Peyton Manning. He was far more effective than Kirk Cousins last year. The Redskins defense was horrid, they had injuries in the wide receiver spots, had no protection for him, it was a mess of a season yet he still put up over 3,200 yards and more tds than ints, plus 480 yards rushing.

And it's hilarious how you use 1 season in which he was in a knee brace and coming off knee surgery as "largely ineffective for a while now".

Yea, I said he might be, because of his performances against Jax and Philly. Then he came back to earth yesterday and I realized why I've told everyone for the past 2 years why he should not start over RG3. It was poor judgement on my part and partly just trying to hope the Redskins have a chance.
