Is it weird to see someone in concert 16 times?

I've seen Rush about 8 times. I saw a documentary on Rush, and some people had seen them from 65 times all the way up to 150 times. I was like "Wow, that's dedication to a band". I don't think any band has had more dedication of fans then the Grateful Dead. Bill Walton has claimed to see the Dead 800 times. When you go that many times, you're just going for the party aspect of it I would think.

Bruces 50 the birthday show at the Spectrum
My 50 th birthday in Tampa 2012

Then you've never been to WSP, Phish, Umphrey's I take it? Never the same, and never know what you're gonna get. Last WSP show for me they played a song they haven't played in over 10 years, and to top it off, I got an 18 minute version of my favorite song to boot. Whoo wee son...

Nice to see another fan on the board.
Since 1989, I have seen over 200 WSP shows - everyone different. There are songs that I have only seen 1-2 times in all of those years. Jam bands (WSP, Phish, Grateful Dead, UM) are not like most touring acts. A lot of effort goes into making sure that each show is completely different - no repeat of songs for at least 3 shows. To put it in terms of the board, it is the same as seeing your favorite team play. Although the team is the same, each game is different.
