It wasn't all that long ago I remember thinking Garth is the kind of person that connects with everyone on a level where you're comfortable with him being in the same room. He connects to where you're not star struck and if he came knocking on your door you'd let him in no matter if your house is messy or not and have a beer with. He definitely doesn't come across as some rich pompous ass. I just think it's very cool how he connects like that.

He never stopped being himself and that's what's saved him.

He is without a doubt the most popular, millionair, Average Joe. I have ever known to exist. This guy is not fake. He tried fake for a brief while and did not like it. He made it known. He's a part of all of us and connects well and it's not by orchestrated design but because that's just who he is.

I told my wife when Garth retired that his best album was yet to come.
