Yea just did some quick research.

At least 21 wins has been done countless times without winning the cy young.

Its in the hundreds .

My apologies. I meant to say "active" MLB pitchers that have done it. Thought I put that in at the start.

well, if they win for the next 15 years, then they have a right to be

don't worry about it just yet, they don't have the ammo

What do you mean "dont have the ammo."

The Cubs future is much brighter then the Pats right now.
I would say the Cubs have a brighter future then just about any American professional sports team.

one season does not undo an extended history, that's what I mean in a somewhat tongue in cheek fashion

as for the future, you need to leave that stuff alone, seriously

Easy now. No one could ever be as bad as Patriots fans.

I have started a grand total of 1 thread (that I can remember) about the Cubs, the season-long "w" thread. I didn't even start this here thread. Just commenting in it, and not even in an abrasive way.

Says the guy on the west coast who is a Kings fan.

You do know that Arrieta has put together the best 2nd half EVER, right?

Says the cubs fan lol. Glad to know the award is for the second half of the season.

You've gotta be kidding me with this. Stop saying stupid shit Shub, nobody implied the award is for the 2nd half of the season. Obviously the award is for the best full season, but when almost all else is equal I would think pitching better than anyone in history ever has down the stretch is worth something. That's all I was saying and you know it.

Greinke had the better first half, Arrieta had the better second half. Greinke was the clear favorite before September. But Arrieta had a 4-0 September and was able to narrow the ERA gap significantly, and also added another CG.

Zack has the worse Manager extra credit for him

one of his 3 loses he gave up 1 earned run and he's got 5 no dec of 1 ER and 2 each of 0 and 2 ER no dec

Jake has 2 no dec of 1 ER and 1 of 2 ER

Zack could have 9 more wins will Jake could have 3

:):)

yeah you guys handle the Blackhawks Cup run pretty well :toast:

Can't even compare Hawk's fan's to Patriot's fans. The Hawk's fans I know are all class. Wait till the leafs win something, they will be all over the place about it.

OK, lets go down this path

every Saints prediction every year you've made one
every Pats prediction
the Brady case
the next Mickey Mantle
some closer going to save more games than Mo
and every head to head bet we've ever made

now if you want to compare offshore success, I'm sure I win there too. I'll even spot you 15k for 2015.

now, I'm not sure how an off the cuff tongue in cheek remark about taking time before you can talk shit turns into this, but this is where you want to be

Um I was 4-0 last season on individual Saints games last season predicted on this forum.
Yea I was wrong about the Season but was 4-0 on individual predictions on single games.

The guy getting more saves then Mo thing.
Yea I predicted Kimbrel would do that about 4 years ago back when he had less then 75 career saves.

He just had yet another incredible season this year and is on pace to not have more saves then Mo. He is on target to shatter it.
He already has 255 saves in less then 6 years.
I think he is only about a year 2 older then Mo was in his rookie season.

So you going to use that as an example of me not getting anything right.

I will use that as an example of one of the all time greatest thread predictions of all time

I guess the biggest difference between you and I Chop is that I don't preordain greatness. In my world, that just seems silly.

And I've also seen many many many predictions about some franchise who's going to dominate for years to come not even be contenders the very next year

Experience is the world's greatest teacher, you should have observed the same shit I have

Just looked it up.
Kimbrel is less then 2 years older then Mo was when he was a rookie and he already has almost half the saves that MO had in his entire career.

That means that the rest of CK career can be only half as good as mo and he will still be the alltime saves leader
