In the third Presidential debate in October 2016 Hillary Clinton discussed Russia and demanded candidate Trump disavow Russian President Putin.

This was a bizarre exchange to the casual observer at the time because there was no evidence candidate Trump had any connections with Russia and because the US was facing more pressing issues with China, ISIS, Iran, Iraq, North Korea and others.

This outrageous attack was just bizarre at the time and was first posed by the Hillary campaign in July 2016 when Hillary Campaign Manager Robby Mook alleged Russia was behind the DNC hacking.

We all knew this lie was outrageous at the time. It came from nowhere and made no sense. But we had no idea Hillary and the Obama Administration would carry this forward for years in an effort to have President Trump removed from office. Two years later the media was still spinning the Hillary lie that Trump was in bed with Putin.

A French socialite with royal blood and a love of fast cars and cigars died of injuries she suffered in a motorcycle crash a month ago in her home country.
Princess Hermine de Clermont-Tonnerre had been in a medically induced coma before her July 3 death. She was 54.

Germany’s Prince Otto of Hesse dies in motorcycle accident at 55

A German prince has died in a high-speed motorcycle crash, according to local reports.

Prince Otto of Hesse, 55, crashed his Ducati Multistrada 1260 S into the central guardrail on a highway in the state of Bavaria at 8:15 a.m. Sunday morning, according to Bild.

The prince — who owned several McDonald’s franchises — died at the scene, the paper said.

Trump denies Minnesota governor's request for $500M to repair damage from BLM riots

President Trump has denied a request from Minnesota’s governor for money to rebuild parts of Minneapolis that were destroyed during the riots following the death of George Floyd.

“The Governor is disappointed that the federal government declined his request for financial support,” Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz's office said in a statement. “As we navigate one of the most difficult periods in our state’s history, we look for support from our federal government to help us through.”

Walz, a Democrat, requested that Trump declare Minnesota a “major disaster” zone in a request to the Federal Emergency Management Agency on July 2 after more than 1,500 buildings were damaged by looting and rioting in the wake of Floyd’s death, totaling over $500 million in damages.

At least one Republican in the state had lobbied the Trump administration to reject the request, arguing that the state’s response to the unrest should be thoroughly reviewed.

From Belgium to Japan, schools are abandoning certain social distancing measures, such as alternate-day schedules or extra space between desks. They have decided that part-time or voluntary school attendance, supplemented by distance learning, is not enough — that full classrooms are preferable to leaving kids at home.

Those experiences and conclusions may offer hopeful guidance to societies still weighing how to get students and teachers back into primary and secondary classrooms.

Public health officials and researchers say they have not detected much coronavirus transmission among students or significant spikes in community spread as a result of schools being in session — at least for students under 12.
