Ghislaine Maxwell, the British socialite and close friend of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, has been arrested by the FBI, according to US media.

“She was arrested on the east coast on Epstein-related charges and is expected to appear in a federal court later today,” NBC News said in a report that first broke the news.

Maxwell had kept a low profile and her location was unknown since Epstein’sarrest last July on charges that he abused and trafficked in women and girls in Manhattan and Florida between 2002 and 2005. The search for Maxwell has been the subject of intense speculation, with reported sightings and rumors of her whereabouts popping up across the US and even abroad.

The New York Times reported that Maxwell had been arrested in New Hampshire.

CNN avoids strong jobs report, Ghislaine Maxwell arrest during primetime

The network largely focused on the coronavirus outbreak instead of two of the day's biggest headlines

Two of the biggest news stories on Thursday were the strong jobs report and the stunning arrest of Jeffrey Epstein confidant Ghislaine Maxwell, but if viewers watched CNN's primetime, they would have no idea either of them took place.

The latest jobs report showed that 4.8 million jobs were added to the U.S. economy in June, bringing the unemployment rate to 11.1 percent. Shortly after the report was released, news broke that Maxwell was arrested on multiple sex-abuse charges, including conspiracy to entice minors to engage in sexual acts.

While the liberal network covered both news items throughout the day, the stories were noticeably absent during the network's primetime programming between 8 p.m. and 11 p.m. Instead, the channel mainly focused on the coronavirus outbreak.

"Cuomo Prime Time" anchor Chris Cuomo had two hours of coverage after taking over for Don Lemon at 10 p.m. But despite having double the airtime, the stories were not touched.

Earlier in the day, CNN also raised eyebrows when it skipped President Trump's remarks from the White House touting the positive economic numbers amid the rebound from national shutdown due to the coronavirus outbreak.

“CNN can decide not to cover whatever it chooses, but its choices are so transparently biased against the president that it damages CNN more than Trump. CNN is simply signaling to people to get their information elsewhere, which based on the ratings, a lot of people are doing,” Cornell Law School professor and media critic William A. Jacobson told Fox News about the network's decision not to air the president's remarks.

The arrest of Ghislaine Maxwell on Thursday on charges that she recruited underage girls to be sexually abused by convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein has brought renewed attention to his relationship with Prince Andrew, the Duke of York, who has been accused of having sex with a 17-year-old girl trafficked by Epstein.

Audrey Strauss, the acting U.S. attorney in Manhattan, said U.S. prosecutors would “welcome Prince Andrew coming in to talk to us” during a press conference announcing the charges against Maxwell on Thursday.
“We would like to have the benefit of his statement,” Strauss told reporters.

Virginia Roberts Giuffre, a survivor of Epstein’s abuse, has claimed he and Maxwell trafficked her to have sex with Prince Andrew three times when she was 17 in 2001, according to an affidavit included in a federal court filing made in the Southern District of Florida. One occasion, Giuffre alleges, included being made to have sex with Prince Andrew at Maxwell’s London townhouse.

Hydroxychloroquine helps coronavirus patients recover, new study shows

Patients treated with drug had 13% mortality rate, those not treated with the drug had 36% mortality rate

Coronavirus patients treated with hydroxychloroquine (HCQ), as well as a combination of the malaria drug with an antibiotic, had higher survival rates than those who were not treated with the drug, a new study has found.

Researchers at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit saw a "significant reduction" in mortality rates with patients who were hospitalized between March 10 and May 2 and treated with the drug compared to those who were not. Hydroxychloroquine has been a topic of controversy since President Trump touted its effectiveness as early as March. The president also said he had been taking the drug.

"The results of this study demonstrate that in a strictly monitored protocol-driven in-hospital setting, treatment with hydroxychloroquine alone and hydroxychloroquine [and] azithromycin was associated with a significant reduction in mortality among patients hospitalized with COVID-19," researchers wrote in the study published July 1 in the International Journal of Infectious Diseases.

The experiment's COVID-19 hospital patient cohort was "among one of the largest...assembled in a single institution," the study notes.

More than 2,500 COVID-19 patients with a median age of 64 were included in the study. The mortality rate for patients who were treated with HCQ alone was 13.5 percent; those treated with HCQ and azithromycin had a 20.1 percent mortality rate; and those who were not treated with either drug had a 26.4 percent mortality rate, the study found.

The primary cause of death was respiratory failure (88 percent), followed by cardiopulmonary arrest and multi-organ failure (8 percent) and cardiac arrest (4 percent).

Innocent people died just because certain groups like the Dems and MSM hate Trump so much they had to distort truth which led to innocent people not taking the drug because they believed "it was dangerous"!
