they're 27th in the league in passing, so they're not winning because of Smith. but Smith will definitely end up costing them a few games where they'll need some offense. KC's defense won't always be able to hold and score for the offense, and they're vulnerable against the run as it is.

KC hasn't beaten anyone yet and are playing a last place schedule, people need to remember that.

1) When you're 12th in the league in running the ball with the league's #5 RB in yards, why do you need to pass?

2) They aren't winning because of Smith? So, they added him, went from 2-14 to 9-0 and it's because of Andy Reid?

If you really think Smith has nothing to do with this turnaround, you don't watch much football.

Who do you think is better...Smith or Kaep?

In this thread you list Kaep as someone you would take over him. In other threads you have said you like Smith better.

Classic enfuego just talking himself in circles, gotta love it.

I've said it all along and never wavered. I don't blame Harbaugh for the decision he made but I think Smith got screwed as I don't believe you should lose your job because of injury. With the way Smith was playing last year, no way he should've lost his job and he's showing you how valuable he is this year in K.C.

Does Kaep have a better upside, stronger arm, more athletic and on and on YES. Do I like Smith as a QB on a team like K.C. as a guy who will not make mistakes, manage a good team, be a leader and come to the game prepared each week YES.

Who is better? Both have their strengths and weaknesses. I honestly think I'd take whichever one depending on the kind of team I had. Kaep is good for SF while Smith is great for K.C.

I've never ever said Smith has a better upside than Kaep and I'd love you to show me where I've said Smith is better than Kaep.

Classic Pats, call a guy out without the proof to back it up. Gotta love it.

I thought you said he got beat out? Now you're saying Kap was the better option which I agree with. Had you said this first, no complaint from me whatsoever. A Smith didn't lose his job because he got beat out. There was no competition in which to get beat out from.

I'd find the proof but I don't really care and it is just gonna turn into a 7 page thread of you morphing into a semantics maniac (I think I made that term up), we know how this goes....

It was another thread...

You roped me Enfuego, you really roped me...

You say the guy is "wrong" when he says taking out Smith for Kaep was the right thing to do, but then here you say for SF you can see how Kaep is the better fit just a few posts ago.

I don't know maybe you just think on a higher level than me and I'm missing something in your words. It is possible I guess...They say all geniuses are eccentric.

So Kaep was the better option (you say in this thread) but SmallDaddy or whoever it was is "wrong" for saying Kaep was the better option and SF did the right thing. Does the RX pay you to drum up posts and make people feel smarter for calling you out?

You are insane!...All good though.

Chop out of his mind too for saying NO homefield = SF so I guess we're all a little crazy.

Also that thread is rich for you saying you wouldn't take anyone in this draft over Trent Richardson besides Bridgewater, wow...

Trent Richardson is awful which I'm sure you now agree

Yes, in regards to a guy losing his job when he was playing well because of an injury was the wrong thing to do IMO. Have said it all along and never wavered.

Fair enough re: Smith...I think Chiefs are pretty fraudulent but I guess that isn't a unique opinion or anything since the oddsmakers wouldn't give them more than -3.5 at Buffalo where any solid NFL team would be -6.5 or more in that spot.

re: TRich/Bridgewater it is post #34

I think they're fraudulent as well but their D is damn good.

I don't even know what we were talking about in regards to Richardson.

I said I'd take a 1st round pick over him easily (at time of trade) to which you responded Bridgewater only guy in the draft you would take over him.

As far as Chiefs I'm not even sure them being fraudulent matters really. Besides Denver, every other AFC contender has tons of issues. Both NE and Cincy have lost their best defensive players, Indy has lost key guys, etc....If Chiefs can somehow get that HF they could make a run but a 9-0 team has never been dismissed more than this before and it seems mostly to be merited. The stars really aligned for them with health, schedule, etc..

you're totally clueless.

Smith hasn't won them a single game thus far and almost cost them 3 different ones.

it's been all defense, running game, special teams, and coaching for the chiefs. wake up.

Thanks for the compliment. I appreciate it.

But...no team goes 9-0 without solid QB play that includes not turning the ball over and managing the offense.

How is that getting screwed? He had a few big games vs overmatched teams because he played on a stacked team. The fact he even got to be the 9ers QB in the first place and put in a situation to succeed was very fortunate. He was a FA before the 2012 season, why do you think pretty much no one went after him that hard and he had to re-sign with SF at a below what he considered a good deal.

He is mediocre at best and that will be shown over the next year or two in the NFL.

5 years later and hes still winning games

I don't expect him to do very well with KC.

Smith leaves Kansas City with a 50-26 mark, tallying more wins than any quarterback in franchise history since Len Dawson, who had 93. Smith posted a better winning percentage (65.8) than Dawson.
