They need to blow the committee up. Alvarez is a blowhard, this has his fat grubby prints all over it just like last year. He left OSU and Stanford out for OU and Mich St. Stanford and OSU would have been better selections. Couple years ago, they dinged B12 (TCU/Bay) for not having 13th data point. So this year, neither Michigan or tOSU has a 13th datapoint. Now what, they just make up new rules as they go along. I wish they'd go back to the BCS formula so that atleast we could see numerical values of where each team ranks and what the distance is between the teams.

I'd rather see them pick 4 conference champs, with a decision to exclude one champ based on its non-conference schedule/performance or its conference's out-of-conference performance. Or just pick the 4 best conference champions.

Who would you have put in over MSU last year? Don't tell me the team that lost to them at home with MSUs backup QB late in the season.

Oklahoma, obviously, should have been put in ahead of them as the three seed. It wasn't fair to the one seed that the two seed basically got a bye to the finals. However, I didn't say Michigan State shouldn't have been included (since they won their conference). I said the fact they were included shows that the Committee wasn't interested in picking the "best" teams last year, or if they were, they were astoundingly clueless.

If Colorado and wisc/Penn win, they both will be in. Mich will not jump anyone sitting there. Conf championship will propel both teams. And that's how it should be

And Mi beat all 3!!!!!

The secondary is definitely Clemson's weak point, and VPI might be able to take advantage. We'll see.

I must be watching a different Clemson defense play if you think their db's are their weak link. Covering backs out the backfield and tight ends usually give their linebackers a tough matchup. The key to beating Clemson is having a great offensive line and being able to keep their offense off the field.

Damn, not even close to 4:20 yet, put the bong down. Washington loses and the Lions beat Wisky, I'll wager any amount you can back up that State makes it in. Michigan is permanently on the outside looking in.

Chew on this....given the current rankings, if both the UW and Clemson are upset, things are set up for three B10 teams to go to the playoff.......tOSU, Michigan and the winner of Wisconsin/Penn State.....any doubt that Barry Alvarez is running this thing?

No way, not a chance in hell.

The big 10 was clearly the best conference this year and their champ is going to need help to make the playoff, that just doesn't make sense to me

No it wasnt it was a combination of timing and circumstances... I will be heavily against most Big 10 teams in the bowl games (of course depending on lines and matchups) they are overrated.
As far as rankings are concerned, everything went right for the Big 10 this year.
Example: NO WAY Penn State is # 7, there are 8-9 teams below them I would favor over them in a bowl game at a neutral site.

Not only did the Huskies do enough to get in the playoff, they should jump ahead of Ohio St. who didn't even win their own division. If Clemson wins, the Buckeyes should drop to #4 and play Alabama.

Washington should be in the Fiesta Bowl. :toast:

I don't have a problem with this. Going to have to play them one way or another. I'd rather have a month to prepare for them than a week.

If Clemson loses, then it's Washington vs. Ohio St. in the Fiesta Bowl. :toast:

Not sure who #4 would be.

In this scenario, IF PSU beats Wisky by double digits, they should be #4. Osu and Michigan outside looking in.

I'll tell ya what men, Clemson loses to Vagina Tech, I'll run down the street bare ass naked, have it filmed, and post it on YouTube. Washington, that's another kettle of fish I'm not willing to eat.
