He's a lock for the NBA HOF without his college or Olympic resume. He's going to be a top 10 scorer in the league when all is said and done.

I don't think you understand the term "lock". A lock is Lebron James, Michael Jordan, Hakeem, etc. Melo with out the gold medals, college player of the year and ncaa title isn't a lock.

The test is always simple. Would you lay 500k to win $100 that Melo would make the HOF if it was just based on NBA. Hell no! But sure i'll lay that on Lebron, Jordan, Kobe etc. Because those are locks.

Stop looking for an argument. Melo would 80-90 percent make it just based off NBA. But he ain't no lock.
