Something you dont realize when you plan this out on paper is streaks are inevitable.
Always a pleasure to read your stuff, ice. I was actually going to drop you a line...I was in Vegas the weekend before Thanksgiving.
The cold streaks are the worst. You are stuck in a major rut and can't get out of it...plus there are no guarantees as to when it might end. A good friend of mine also bets sports just about every night, and he literally didn't win a dime from after this past Super Bowl until the middle of this football season. He got his ass kicked week-in, week-out and kept dumping money to his local. You literally can not buy one single break, and it feels like the entire world is fighting against you. I think the best thing to kill that is taking a looooong break (few months at least), but you probably can't do that. I still track what I would have played when I'm taking a break, and it feels like I won if I would have gone 2-9 or whatever on a day, but am still sitting on the sidelines. Take that, Lady Luck...you tramp! Ha.
The hot streaks are what make it all worth it, though. There is no feeling in the world like knowing that as soon as you put your plays in, you're in the zone and are going to wind up making some kind of profit that day. You just know it with the utmost confidence, and it's a better feeling than anything.
Lately, I've been bizarrely having a little of both. I don't understand what's going on...but throughout November, I'd go something like 1-8 in college football on Satuday, then 6-0 the next day in the pros. It would sometimes reverse itself too, where I'd be on fire in college only to dump it all back on the pros the very next day. I've been getting really hot and really cold, sometimes both in the span of 24 hrs. Never experienced anything quite like it for this long. Let's hope I'm not tempting fate to make it cold for a while...
