Lets replace blacks with Jews, white, Italians, Mexicans, whatever - its still the same. Obviously she has some motive here, but Donald has been an idiot for a very long time. If he doesn't say these things, its not a story, right? They have lost two sponsors already and will lose more. They will not be able to sign free agents, who will want to play for him? They may lose the HC also.

This isn't anything new. Controversy is always gonna sell.....People like to view the media as having a bias to fit their agenda and while that can be true I don't think anything can trump controversy/sensationalism. Especially in the 24 hr news cycle/internet/twitter era

Yeah but for a lot of them if they don't make a statement or they just let it pass then people are gonna rip them even more. Imagine if they just do nothing and say no comment, or say "It doesn't concern me" What do you think the backlash is gonna be then?

So I think a lot of these guys know they have to atleast show they care about the issue rather than just dismiss it.
I concur they should make a statement
"we heard what was allegedly said and if true it's a very sad and unfortunate situation. But at this point in time, we're preparing to play a NBA playoff game for ourselves and our fans and for a national TV audience. We cannot let this situation distract us for a single minute.
