I've had my share of this kind of thing having been a small businessman for a very long time. The solution isn't nowhere to be found. If you are good, if you are industrious, if you want to make a living, you have choices. I am all for reeducation and retraining programs that turn out qualified workers. Get over it and get on with your life.

Are you suggesting that a company that fails to meet the demands our society and does not respond to changing times and competitive pressures should be given a free pass just to save jobs? That fails to address the original problem completely. It's excuses like those as well as misplaced sympathy that has prolonged the condition and put the workers jobs at risk in the first place. What about next time? It's going to happen again then what will you do? Buying time by saving jobs, not facing up to the problem and letting the cards fall where they may is no solution. Workers would be better off in the long run.

Most of the time you mumble nonsense but this is well said. Congrats after 14,000 posts to actually making some sense. Merry Christmas to you and yours and those UAW greedy pricks. Hey, there is always toys for tots George.

If i was an auto worker with kids (i have a wife and kids) i would be happy with a $35 wage for LABOR workers when they are making twice that.

My Ford Explorer Limited with 50k rear end is going out.

It is just unbelievable that FORD can design and build a car in which the rear end leaks in a matter of 3 years. I have owned cars that were 20 years old with 200,000 miles that never had a rear end failure.

My god fletch, what a coincidence? I feel the same way about you too! I see you are making a little progress yourself!

Merry Christmas to you. It would be a whole lot merrier if Obama's pre-inauguration PR commandos would allow the pundits and comedians on TV to crack a harmless joke or two about him. Could that be a new wrinkle in PC I don't know about? You wouldn't want us everyday Americans people feeling like they are stepping on egg shells talking about our govenment, would you? I didn't think so.

On a more serious note, coming from a 62% record on the season in CFB, I believe that I will be 3/3 on Saturday.

Not a chance. Besides that, what Dizzle says goes as far as me and anything outside the Pac-10 is concerned.
I'm already down on the Gaytors. :103631605

Fuck Detroit and anyone receiving a bailout. Nobody is too big to fail, nobody. And Road, your the exception not the rule...most American cars suck balls. And besides, your vested into them not failing considering you haul a lot of rubbish new parts for these abominations.

i for one think they should be bailed out, but not without some very intelligent people (not many of them in washington) putting stipulations together that will make them profitable.

Yeah after we had to demand they build plants here for our market but the profits are still going overseas....I think GM is doing wrong for wanting to sell Saturn...I was seriously thinking of buying one of those cool little cars someday...Seems like Saturn would be a good profit maker for them..

"Two" not "Too" Genius. The Michigan Public school system alive and well. The American auto industry is a great representative of the city it represents. :ohno:

BB, just where the fuq are you coming up with anything that would suggest anything of the sort? Your imagination is two big. Your sense of humor is just as strange to.

I get the feeling that you may be trolling for some kind of hook up.
