The irony is...almost every poster here has said they don't want politics in their sports, restaurants, stores, ect. Yet do i need to point out the irony?

Is it that one doesn't want politics in every aspect of their life or they simply don't want to hear the opposing side of their politics?Because what should be a sports/gambling forum long ago turned into a political forum and the forum didn't change format but the posters who tell other aspects of life to get politics out bring their politics into a gambling forum daily.

I see no irony whatsoever in it. There are plenty of sub forums you can go to if you want to talk sports. Obviously those have no traffic whatsoever right now because there are no sports. This form, for anyone that's been around, has been basically a general potpourri of topics for years. Many of us are practical enough to realize that politics don't dictate our lives. And therefore, we don't waste a lot of time with this kind of stuff.

I'm not the least bit interested in making my life more difficult. I will continue to shop from any vendor that sells a product I'm interested in and leave the political stuff on the back step. I remember my sister-in-law saying she was going to boycott all products that come from China. I'm still laughing at that one. But good luck with your venture (especially Amazon).

exactly .
boycotts are so dumb .
only people you are hurting is yourself when you boycott .

Not necessarily.

When you've got multiple providers, as the one person already mentioned (local coffee shop vs. Starbucks), not patronizing the one that touts the exact opposite values that you stand for makes a lot of sense to me, and doesn't hurt oneself in the least.

I haven't seen a thing listed yet in this thread that would be boycotted , to where I would consider its hurting me or anyone else .. staying away from Starbucks or a pizza joint isn't hurting yourself.. overreaching here to make a point Chop

well if it’s a tie between Starbucks and local coffee shop it don’t hurt you .

But if you like Starbucks more then the local coffee and you drink the local coffee that hurts you.

If you like Nike shoes more then then another brand but you buy the other brand instead due to Nike’s political views that hurts you.

If any of these businesses make your life better and you avoid them yes it hurts you.

The main thing it’s most of the time it’s hypocritical .

For instance I have a cousin who boycotted ESPN due to political views but he takes his family to Disney World for vacation. I did not even waste my time telling him Disney owns ESPN. What’s the point ?

And you for example .
You boycotted the NBA.
Why does the NFL get a pass from you?
Im not judging you just saying. The NFL is guilty of all the things that you boycotted the NBA over .
If you really gonna take a stand you gotta go all the way man . Otherwise it just looks dumb

I'm supporting NO black lives matter businesses.

This is somewhat ambiguous. Does this mean you will not support businesses that are in favor of black lives matters? Or does it mean you will support businesses that are in favor of no black lives matter?

In either case, I definitely agree that when giving money to businesses, politics is far more important than the value or quality of the product or service I am paying for.

Enough people will go to another brand if Nike's pushing the wrong message on you... Hell , Nike is local to me , but I stopped buying anything from them after they propped up Kap… I'm not the only one either that will say no ..

If you don't think boycotting Amazon wouldn't be a major inconvenience to most people's lives, I don't know what to tell you

if a single person doesn't want to go to a restaurant or such it doesn't hurt anyone. The only time it hurts is if a person incites a large enough group with lies about a place. Mopdeep up his ass would know about this.

well Nike’s stock went up a ton since that Kap campaign .
Dont ever question Nike’s marketing . Probably the most well marketed company in the world or close to it .

For every redeye that boycotts them they probably have 2 people to replace you.

NFL might not get a pass from me.. I'm ready to tell them to take a hike. Players like Brees might have pushed me over the edge.. There's nothing out there that I would boycott that's essential to my life or that would hurt me in the long run.. NFL sorta got their act together the last 3 years.. kneeling was gone.. NBA has more issues that I feel are worth boycotting ….

I also don't think you need an exact script to follow for boycotts.. everything you boycott for any reason helps the cause imo..

no doubt somethings are harder to boycott than others.. its not a perfect science... Just because you might not be able to boycott everything you want , doesn't mean you can't boycott the things you can ..

The original post basically said all businesses (hence my comment). I'm not trying to move any goalposts.

We have to beat the fuck out of all the racist trump supporters. Those kkk clowns with a correctional officer in the group mocking and disrespecting the protesters with their disgusting behavior mimicking the situation of Floyd and the cop. Need to seriously do something about these scum

I don't expect to move any goalposts myself .. think for some of us , we're just standing up for ourselves in our own way.

I must say, I've walked past a lot of blacks lately and not one of them has done anything other than ignore me or say hi. I was initially worried that most of them would be militant like we are seeing on tv.
