To be honest, before Zit mentioned him in this forum for the first time I didn't even know Dawkins existed, so, no, he definitely is not one of my heroes. But I guess since I'm an atheist and Dawkins is apparently a very out-spoken atheist Zit-logic determines that he must be my hero.

But I don't really mind. What does bother me is that Zit continues to use Dawkins' quote despite having shown time and again that he doesn't undertsand it and is immune to any attempt at explanation.

Preussen, you are such a joke. I love how you have to end your
posts with some stupid quip, which in this case is a blatant lie.

Apparently you clearly have forgotten that previously when I posted
that quote, you emphasized that what Dawkins stated is *exactly*
what you believed. Kind of makes you look a bit foolish huh?

For the record - this is exactly what I believe.
I cannot say that I like it very much, neither do I like the fact that I will simply cease to exist when I die. But things are like they are and I just cannot bring myself to believe in something irrational just to make life easier by ignoring the facts.

Zit, did it ever occur to you that the fact that I fully agree with a quote of some person does not necessarily mean that this person is my hero?

Jesus Christ!!!!!!!....is not/was not The Creator. No "Christian" faith believes this

Jesus Christ is The Saviour...mankinds link to The Father, who had a hard time relating to us....thats a fucking joke, Mormons....errrr....morons

Quit trying to complicate stuff.

...and Mormons are not Christians just becaues they put Christ's name in their title. I've met some Arryan Warriors who consider themselves "Christian" too, ya know. Some of them were Mormons with bald heads and little pony tails.....but I wouldn't really consider 'em Christ-like

Jesus was a real man who lived some 2,000 years ago and He did not leave the confines of Heaven to go camping in Utah to speak to Joey Smith and his 40 wives

Raise a glass to 3cushion billiards and having the EmptyNest for chasing MrsBerq when needed

=====
ZIT, I sleep when I'm sleepy

Though since breaking away from my past nine years of work with DrugSense (this past month) I've for the first time in several years found less need to be up past 2am

Lawn & garden = 30some hrs a week
RxForum mod work = 15some hours a week while capping sports

Leaving me about 15some hours a week to focus on expanding the new I-Commerce* business I've opened with some partners in Tampa.

And then final few hours chasing SheBar around our own Empty Nest, since I want to grow up to be like my Erie PA friend Berq

That's not true. The bible says that ALL things were made by Him and For Him.

Joh 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

Jesus Christ is The Saviour...mankinds link to The Father, who had a hard time relating to us....thats a fucking joke, Mormons....errrr....morons

The bible says that He IS the link to the father:

1Ti 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

Joh 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Quit trying to complicate stuff.

I'm just quoting from the bible. Where do you get your info?

...and Mormons are not Christians just becaues they put Christ's name in their title. I've met some Arryan Warriors who consider themselves "Christian" too, ya know. Some of them were Mormons with bald heads and little pony tails.....but I wouldn't really consider 'em Christ-like

But the real question is "are they actually following the word of God or are they merely calling themselves Christian and ignoring what the bible says?"

Jesus was a real man who lived some 2,000 years ago and He did not leave the confines of Heaven to go camping in Utah to speak to Joey Smith and his 40 wives

I don't believe the book of morman either.

No stress, no worries bardood.....my days this time of year are spent playing 3 cushion billiards

Mine are spent with my God, my wife and my 3 kids.

My response is in bold

How can you consider believing in an intelligent creator -- or even intelligent design -- as irrational? Athesists have been battling hard over the years, from having the 10 commanments removed from the courthouses to having the word christmas expunged from the holiday season, which makes you wonder why they fight something they don't believe in. how can something come from nothing? believing in nothing is more irrational than believing in something.

If you prayed that prayer to God, and meant it with all of your heart, you are now a child of God and will go to heaven when you die.

What if they prayed that prayer with all their heart but lost faith later in life? Would they still go to heaven when they die?

That is almost exactly what happened to me. I was a born again Christian that completely lost his faith. I knew I believed in God, but other than that, I didn't know up from down. Doubt had crept in and chipped away at my faith for years, and it compounded. I got to the point where I didn't identify myself as a Christian anymore. But I was searching. I contemplated and thought deeply for about 4 years. Now, I do call myself a Christian, and although I still doubt and still have questions for which there are no answers, I have learned to accept that doubt is a part of faith. I will always doubt, but the more I doubt, the more I believe. The simple wisdom in the Bible, the simple things about Jesus and who he was, those things strengthen my faith. I do believe that Satan is real, that he is a deceiver and a liar, and will set out to destroy a Christian's faith from the moment they become born again. Ultimately, I believe that if a person does accept Christ, that Christ is the one that guarantees salvation and keeps that person as his own. So even though I didn't even know if I was a Christian or not for a long period of time, I do believe that I was still a child of God. And I believe that God will bring that person back, if their heart was genuine when they came to faith in Christ.

I know that your question was probably more of a mocking, but if you were serious, there is my answer.

No, it wasn't meant to be mocking. It was meant to challenge the notion that frodo could know everyone's situation that prayed the prayer and meant it with all your heart that a person wouldn't lose faith later. There are many examples of people who have done just what he described yet had doubts later.

Please take the time to read this first post and pray that prayer to God at the bottom of it if you haven't yet.

Jesus Christ!!!!!!!....is not/was not The Creator. No "Christian" faith believes this

Jesus Christ is God

While MOST Christians believe that Jesus Christ is God and the creator as the bible says
There are some religions out there that believe and teach that Jesus Christ is not God. Some teach that He is a god, but not thee God. I am going to demonstrate through the word of God that He is God and created all things. He always was. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>
Mic 5:2 (NKJV) "But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, [Though] you are little among the thousands of Judah, [Yet] out of you shall come forth to Me The One to be Ruler in Israel, Whose goings forth [are] from of old, From everlasting."<o:p></o:p>
This prophecy is of Christ's first comming. His Goings forth have been from everlasting because Christ Jesus is God.<o:p></o:p>
Jesus Christ is one with the Father. He is God. <o:p></o:p>
Joh 14:8 Philip said to Him, "Lord, show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us." Jesus said to him, "Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, 'Show us the Father'? "Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works. "Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me, or else believe Me for the sake of the works themselves.<o:p></o:p>
God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit are all one God<o:p></o:p>
1Jo 5:7 For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one.<o:p></o:p>
(Take an egg and break it in a bowl. How many parts are here? How many eggs are here? 1) That’s how it is with God.<o:p></o:p>
Jesus declares Himself to be the great I AM of the Old Testiment<o:p></o:p>
Joh 8:58 Jesus said to them, "Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM."<o:p></o:p>
I am is God. There is only one God. That God has three parts.<o:p></o:p>
Ex 3:14 And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.
God's plurality is found in Genesis<o:p></o:p>
Ge 1:26 ¶ Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth."<o:p></o:p>
This verse demonstrates how God has multiple aspects. He said Let “US” make man in “OUR” image. He didn’t say, let me make man in My image, He said let US make man is OUR image.
John declares Christ Jesus to be God<o:p></o:p>
Joh 1:1 ¶ In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.<o:p></o:p>
John declares that the world was made by Him (Jesus Christ)<o:p></o:p>
Joh 1:10 He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him.<o:p></o:p>
All things were made by Him and He was in the beginning with God (Father)<o:p></o:p>
Joh 1:2 He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.<o:p></o:p>
Conclusion: Jesus Christ is God. Not a God but the God of the bible. God has three parts. God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. All are equal, yet the Son is submissive to the Father and the Holy Spirit is submissive to the Son. Jesus Christ was an EXAMPLE for us. He died on the cross for our sins so that we could go to heaven and be forgiven of our sins. He shed His blood for us. <o:p></o:p>
Heb 9:22 And according to the law almost all things are purified with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no remission.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>

What's more likely, that prophecies were fulfilled, or that the Old Testament was edited to make it appear so?
