Agree with who said 25 mlb vs 25 nfl is weird.

there should be 100 mlb plays but only worth 1/4 of an nfl play (so both have same max value)

I have not been around much, but would be in for this and would give me a reason to get in the habit of checking in here again. Pm if this goes down.

Let's start talking $ guys.

Has to be $300 - $500.

This is is for a full year so for smaller bettors please remember that's not as much as it sounds.

The prize-payouts has to be big enough to make it worth while. ..

If we could choose three sports I'd be in. I don't do college or hockey. Bases, NFL, and NBA would be cool by me.

$500.00 seems like a good number for a year long contest.

I think 500 at a minimum for a year long contest with MLB, NFL NCAA football, NCAAB and NBA

This would've been really cool if we started it for this basketball season....then we have NBA w/ NCAAB, (and NHL), followed by bases, then followed by football (NCAA and NFL)....and our year long season ends with the super bowl (even though basketball is still going cause it is the following year)

i'm interested but I will wait to see how much time we have to invest in this.

if you ask me, we should make it a really big buyin like $1000.

1) we should have winners for each individual sport
2) we should pay maybe top 3 for season long prize

so maybe for each $1000 buyin:
$100 goes to NFL winner
$100 to NCAAF winner
$100 to NBA winner
$100 to NCAAB winner
$100 to MLB winner
$100 to NHL winner
$400 to season long prize. ($200 for 1st, $120 for 2nd, $80 for 3rd)

I'd be willing to chop that $400 down by either decreasing buyin, or even making it $300 and using the last $100 for other bonus prizes like hottest streak or best month or worst record or something.

I agree with the $500 and hope that any players understand it's not a lot when you consider is a year-long contest.

I think most will lean towards eliminating hockey...

MLB would be tough. I know Matt mentioned something along the line of using a fake bankroll which would be a better step but I'm not a fan unless everyone was forced to bet the same dollar amount each pick. Caveat being the bankroll would have to be large enough to support a terrible run because you don't want entrants going bankrupt during the season, everyone should have the same # of picks. Maybe better system would be just tracking fake units won on a 1 unit bet throughout the season. Have 100 MLB bets as shdw mentioned. If this was not the case, entrants would have no reason to take a dog over the course of the entire season. It will just be a bunch of Kershaw, Max Scherzer, etc. home games all season. Either way, this will be a good amount of work if this was done here at the RX. Similar to the RX college contest this year, we will need to use the same lines for every game which will be an everyday update for NCAA, NBA, and MLB. Is this trying to get hosted at a book or some pool site?
