Very familiar. He'll be forced out very quickly and his legal team will tell him he will lose if he continues and he will be out by beginning of the season most likely selling on his own.

That's the exact opposite of what his legal team would advise him of. If a billionaire walks into your office and says he wants to enter into a multi-year litigation and hire your firm to represent him, you don't talk him out of it.

At least some of us get it. +1

Not to disagree with you but he isn't really your typical billionaire that is a captain of industry or anything.

He basically bought an asset for 15mill 35 years ago and because of expotential growth in franchise values through growth of the NBA, he is a billionaire now.
So you don't believe that is thinking outside the box?

Does it really matter how you become a billionaire?

He'll sell eventually, but this won't be an over night sell.
The owners will vote on it and he'll sell in a year or two.

Sooo. The other 1/2 to 3/4 or his wealth was just pure luck as well?

I don't think it's different at all. He's a billionaire amongst billionaires. His legal team is no better than the rest of their legal teams.

This isn't the point. You compared Sterling to a franchise owner of a restaurant. He, and a franchise owner of a restaurant, aren't even in the same zip code.

The owners will vote, he'll be out. If he fights the owners he will lose very quickly. He does not own the NBA.

Such a naive opinion. To act like this is just over and done already is ridiculous.

I wouldnt be surprised if they don't even let the nba owners vote to force him out, much less actually have a vote and it end up 29-0 as you state.

The error in your logic is that IF (a big if) the nba owners vote him out, it's over. That's not the case. Again, due process.

I personally dont don't even think it will come to that. But if they actually did vote him out or "force a sale" as you keep saying, he would have legal recourse. You get that right? If someone takes your property/your business, you understand that you have rights? This is America.

The concept is the same. A franchise owner owns a business within a business. Just like Sterling. And the higher up you go the more power there is. The NBA has so much more power than Sterling. If they want him to sell they can force him to sell.

When measuring ones intelligence and how they would go about a situation? Of course...

I'm not trying to pretend I know what is gonna happen, but the NBA isn't dealing with Warren Buffet here....

stern and league were seemingly never questioned and nobody ever really dug on some major issues, especially donaghey and his association with other refs. Overall STERN WAS A CROOK, and of course the network that (unfortunately) people look to for sports espn is in bed with the league.
bingo!!!!

He can try. His lawyers will politely tell him he will lose. You get that the NBA is basically his landlord and if they want him out they can get him out. It's amazing how much power you think this guy has. If you want to see power wait till you see what the NBA does to him. Just like banning him for life, giving him the maximum fine, and saying they will force him out. What more do you want from me? You should ask me questions instead of make stupid comments.

Lol, what? Lawyers are there to tell him what his best options are financially and legally. Not to drag cases on as long as possible for no reason. It's pure conjecture that you guys think Sterling doesn't care about money.

Ill start with this question, what possible incentive would any attorney have in telling a billionaire "Well gee, this litigation could last for years and my legal bills would be well into 7 figures, but I really don't want to take the case because we might lose,"? Join the real world man.

You seem to have no idea of how the real world works.

How do you know what he thinks? He could drag it on forever, it wouldn't be the first time the legal process took forever. Not sure what about that you don't understand.

Are you crazy? They are already talking about moving the vote up and it will be over 75%. You have a weird view of reality.

Akphidelt' logic = the nba can do anything they want and Sterling can't do anything to counter it. No proof or citations to anything supporting such logic but he sure as hell is adamant that there is absolutely no other possible outcome.

Ousting an owner from a temporary 30 member club and forcing him to sell a team are two completely different issues. One requires a vote, and the other will most likely require legal help unless Sterling goes quietly. Most billionaires have huge egos. I doubt if he goes quietly if his legal team finds any kind of a loophole.

I don't think that even matters.
