The hypocrisy lies in you calling out Krieder as disrespecting the game while silent on Prust disrespecting the game with a late hit that caused an injury.
sorry, you are mistaken carl. We discussed it at length in another thread I think. I have been very consistent. I said prust's hit was late and should have been a penalty. Looking at it several times he hit him high in the chest with his shoulder and the follow through might have caught the chin or he hurt it when he hit the ice. He got 2 games and I accepted that. Not sure how that is hypocritical on my part.

Krieder also did cause an injury remember?

Speaking of disrespecting the game. Can you name the person who said this?

"We expect Derrick Brassard to play and we know exactly where he is injured. Hockey is a small world."

the Montreal coach said it and? This has been going on forever. Teams will do whatever to get any type of edge. Nothing new here. If a Habs goalie has a sore left shoulder, you don't think Ranger players aren't gonna shoot high to the glove? If a Habs defenseman has a sore shoulder, you don't the Rangers players are gonna hit him in the shoulder a little harder at each and every chance they get?

A non story or maybe a story I suppose but certainly nothing like you suggest "disrespecting the game". Come on give your head a shake and take off the Rangers cap.

lmao, if you think anything will come of that you're insane. It was a stupid flippant comment... any dirty look at Brassard after that is gonna draw the ire of the nhl, team isnt that stupid, its a big shit load of nothing and everybody knows it. If they were gonna target Brassard theyd just have gone about it without saying anything, on the list of habs worries Brassard falls right behind wondering if the concession stands in new york will carry poutines for the habs fans who make the trip for the game.

I point out a plug is a plug and he scores a goal and you're in here chirping like he's the guy leading the conn smythe race in the playoffs. Ever heard the saying even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while? I'll give it to him it was a nice goal but ultimately it doesn't change what I was saying in that post, the rest to which you conveniently avoided....he's not the habs main worry and he's a long way down from the habs top worries even if he finds the net once this series...and they didn't target him which is what the post was about despite the big bad comments that were out to get the rags.

Since you like to call me out, i'll give ya some more fodder to come back and troll me on should it fall flat....Brassard won't be the difference maker in any game from here out, remaining habs series and whomever they play kings/hawks series....Rags get destroyed by either Kings or Hawks....guessing both come true and I won't hear from you again :) and in the end it won't matter cause my team never made the playoffs this year so I never had a horse in the race from jump. Just callin it like I see it, just so happens your teams been on the wrong side of the majority of offenses that we were talking about in this thread.

Well I guess I should thank you for guaranteeing Brassard will sore a hat trick tonight. That or at least the number one star of the game.(<)<

When the Rangers made the Playoffs the critics said that they should squeak by the Flyers but that their season would end in the second round.

Then they said that we had no chance against Sid the Kid and Malkin. Then when we beat them the critics said that it was more of a Pittsburgh collapse rather than a Rangers win. Fine.

Then after getting by the Pens the critics said we had absolutely no chance beating the Habs ans Subban. Then in the first game we chased their starting goalie from the net.

Now one win away from the finals and everyone is starting to say that we have less than zero chance of taking the Cup from the Western Conference winners.

Does anyone else see a pattern forming here? So please continue telling me how the Rangers have no chance at winning. They seem to like to prove their critics wrong.

They might not be your no. 1 team but sure sounds like you have a horse in this race

[QUOTE=nuckers;

going to be the best series in the 2nd round. I grew up hating the habs, and loving the B's, mainly Neely...but learned to hate the Bruins and slowly turned into a habs fan...like the way this habs team plays...I think they got a shot. Detroit was under gunned but their team speed gave the Bruins fits during the year, and the habs are quicker and healthy for the most part. I got the habs at + for the series.

true that not many are giving them a chance. I for one, have picked them to beat philly and pittsburgh. The rangers coach is a good one. Probably the the best coach NYR have have this century but its a fine line between success and failure in the NHL playoffs. Look at the Kings for example down 0-3 against the Sharks and now are one game away from the finals.

I will be cheering for the Rangers IF the make it to the finals. IF being the key word. I see the Habs winning tonight and wouldn't be surprised if there's a game 7 back in Montreal. Same with the Chicago series.

Well I agree. Game four is the hardest game to win and knowing that the Rangers came back from a 3-1 hole against the Pens does not give me overconfidence that it will be easy. Apart from the first game this has been a very balanced series and no one I know expects the Habs to give up without a fight.

nuckers; going to be the best series in the 2nd round. I grew up hating the habs said:
that was a bet and a good one as it turned out, I didnt bet the habs this series as I thought it was too close to call but with Price I think they couldve pulled it out. I do like the way this habs team played but thats far from being a real, a casual fan sure but theres no Subban jersey on my back, I dont make sure im in front of the box at puck drop, having some team to follow makes it interesting but should the habs lose a 4th game, Mtl will be in mourning, true fans will be pissed, and Ill just keep on keeping on so no theres no horse in the race really.

haha, I hope Brassard gets that hat trick, if im that good the Rags could put me on the payroll or least he could lol.

I underated NY, I thought the flyers series was a coinflip so either result wouldnt have surprised me. I did think the pens would be too much and they shouldve been and for the early part of the series they were but they imploded good on the rags, Ill eat that I was wrong.

Like I said earlier I didnt bet this habs series as I saw this as an even series, I liked the habs vs bruins cause of the match up but speed on speed I thought would be pretty even and I was right but like I said I thought the habs had the slight edge if Price is in. Without him, I figured they were sunk and Tokarski to my surprise has handled himself well but the rangers are better again then I gave them credit for. Im a vancouver fan so I know all about AVs coaching, and hes a great coach and has your team playing well but I know the western conference and for your sake I hope im underestimating them terribly again but I would put it at 0 percent to beat either western team. Its easy to shock in the east, west is a different beast and no feel good story is gonna change that. Good luck to ya tho, I hate both western teams so once the habs are gone to make it interesting I may be cheering rags with ya even tho I dont think they got a shot in hell unless Kreider decides to take out Quick too.

should we note the hypocrisy of wanting us to call out Prust but not being here to call out Dorsett and Moore for last nights game? nah I'll let it slide lol The snow shower to the little kid was pretty pathetic tho

in all seriousness good game, sloppy as hell on both sides which makes for entertaining open hockey. Should be a fun next game.

Yea. At this point it is quite obvious that these two teams hate each other and will resort to dirty hockey. Horrible goaltending by both teams. I can see a 1-0, 2-1 game on Thurs.
