drinking a little early mr carter?:grandmais

who was the better team last night? Montreal was. Yes I know they lost.

Their new goalie will be better in game 3 (I hope)

This series is far from over.

Habs win the next 2 in NY

Unless Tokarski channels Roy, its gonna be tough with the groove Lundqvist is in. If he can sense it hes got it he doesnt even need to see it, hes playing with jedi force powers at the moment. If the habs can get some net presence and make his life a lot rougher, and play the way they did last night they could extend this series another couple games but 2 in new yorks gonna be tough.

i look at it the same, but differently. Yeah MTL was the better team.. but they played as well as they possible could ahve (minus the goalie, which who knows maybe that is his better efforts).. they had a MUST win... at home... and still lost...

No reason to think a different outcome when they have to go on the road... if Habs lose confidence in the Goalie, the series will get out of hand. Exactly like it did in the TB/MTL series. MTL was not that much better than TB, if anything TB dominated them in the regular season... regardless MTL was 4-0 better than TB.. TB lost all confidence in backup goalie.. took them out their attacking game.

Les Canadiens are in huge trouble. They were the better team yesterday and lost it cause of goaltending. AND the players KNOW Price is not there anymore. Get some nutty bounces?

At the Olympics

Canada 3, Sweden 0

That was for the gold medal game against a healthy Canada with an injury riddled Sweden. Only letting in 3 against a powerhouse like Canada is pretty impressive.

He was? technically he was poor on the first goal. REAAAAAALY deep in his net on the 3rd goal (albeit screened)

Canada wasn't healthy- missing a top 5 player in the world . Steven Stamkos

Injury riddled!?!?! Come on now don't listen to those clowns in the media making excuses!! Canada had Stamkos and Tavares injured! Can't compare the Swede injured players to those two!!!!!!!

Ignorance is bliss, Eh?

nice try but no goal. You are posting a pic made by "Ranger Face", did you notice even?

After Montreal's morning skate Monday in Brossard, Quebec, Canadiens coach Michel Therrien said Price would not play again in the series, and he called the play by Kreider "reckless." Like most objective people watching would say. Reckless!

After all the years he's played hockey, chances are he knows there's a goalie in the net when he going on goal. The question is, does he have the same respect for the game as other players do?

The Canadiens have pointed out that Kreider has a history of barreling into goalies. He injured Ottawa Senators goalie Craig Anderson last season after he got tripped by Marc Methot and crashed into Anderson.

2 goalies in 2 years. If he does it again to another goalie? Then will some of you guys admit there is a pattern here? Maybe if he takes out 2 more goalies? 3? Hpw many? Like I said earlier, guys will play the entire careers without smashing into a goalie and injuring him for God knows how long but Kreider has done it twice in 2 years now.

Spin that all you want and I know you will. Ignorance is bliss, Eh?

Canada could skate two teams and have a shot at Gold and Silver. Swedes top NHLers were more important to their team.

And if you buy into Price/Crawford being better than Quick/Lunqvist you are being a homer.

It must suck not to be able to defend against a player with so much speed. Blame your own defense man for getting beat and recklessly taking down Krieder, sending him into your goalie. Love how your coach changes his story. Whining Habs.

Start making your tee times, boys.

Krieder isn't the only player in the NHL who has speed fyi. Yet, he seems to have a tendency for injuring goalies. Hmmmm. No one is whining here expect you maybe? I am just calling it like I see it. Impartially. If a Habs player did the same to Lundqusit I would be just as critical. Can you say the same?

I like the Rangers actually and their coach who used to coach my Canucks. If they knock out the Habs, IF, I will be cheering for the Rangers to win the Cup actually. But If Krieder does it again to another goalie, and chances are he will, I will call him out as any true fan will do.

If Krieder does what again. Beats a defense men and gets hooked and taken down into a goalie?

Tell me again how much of a penalty the refs gave Kreider for that play? A two minute minor? A double minor? A five minute major? I can't seem to remember.

No, the refs should have awarded him a penalty shot because he clearly beat his man and would have an unobstructed shot on goal if he was not taken down.

None of the injured players would have made a difference in goals allowed, maybe Zetterberg. Sedin has never seen the front of his own net. Stamkos best goal scorer in the world!!! Tavares top five in NHL in scoring. No comparison! Swedes injuries had virtually nothing to do with goals allowed. Similar to Canada's injuries.

Habs need to make the Rangers pay a price every time they get in the crease. In the Kings/Sharks series, a Shark player was going after Quick with the same intent and even made a post game comment, "when skating into Quick, I look at it like bowling, it's better to get strike than a spare." That same player ended up getting tackled by Quick in one game, slashed in another and cross checked by the Kings every time he entered the crease. Montreal needs to police their game.

PS. Montreal getting a really good inflated number in tonights game, hope you're smashing that line.

Funny how in both instances you cite Krieder has his legs taken out from under him by a defense man. He is 6'3" and weighs 226 pounds. His job is to go hard to the net. But any true hockey fan would know this.
