Hey Guys...I just bought a Whey Protein supplement at Wallmart put out by
Body Fortress 2lbs for $12.97. The ingredients say Whey protein concentrate
and Whey protein isolate, two scoops = 46g of protein. There are 30 scoops per container and I had planned on taking 1 scoop in the morning and one either afternoons or evenings. I'm am clueless about these products other than everyone seems to be in agreement that Whey is a must in our daily diets. Questions...1. Is anyone familiar with this product? 2. Is a scoop in the morning and then another later in the day or 46g of protein sufficient? 3. Should I be purchasing another product or do you think this one is sufficient?
Thanks in advance.

That's a pretty damn good price. I haven't had it, but haven't heard anything bad, either.

2) You should shoot for 1-1.5g of protein per pound of bodyweight. Ideally, most of your protein should be from whole foods, not supplements. When you wake up, you should take two scoops of whey with 1/2 cup oatmeal and 1 tbsp cinnamon. You can opt for one scoop of whey with 5-6 egg whites too. Avoid anything white from carbs.

3) Right now, you should be fine. As long as it tastes okay, and you can deal with it for a period of time, stick with it.

Thanks for offering to answer questions.

My next one is about cardio and lifting. Which should I do first? The 30 minutes of cardio or the 45 minutes of lifting.

How would it be to break it up into morning and early evening workouts? Which is better in the morning?

If possible, lifting prior to cardio. What you could do is 5-10min light cardio, then lift for 45-60min and then cardio for 15-30min.

I need to run 1.5 miles in 15 minutes. What is the best way to get ready for this on a running track.

What is the best supplements to use for building endurance.

Practice HIIT (high intensity interval training). Jog for 1min, sprint for 15 seconds, go back to light jogging for 1 min, then sprint for 12 seconds, jog for 1 min, then sprint for 10 seconds.

Stop for 5 min and do it again. Try to do this three times per day. This will work your long-twitch and short-twitch muscle fibers. Other than that, eat oatmeal 30min prior to exercise and avoid simple sugars.

this isnt supplement/vit. related, but after i worked on my biceps for a good 45 min the other day (prolly more...i think i over-worked it), my left arm, around the elbow and down to the forearm area is aching, plus i get weird tingling sensation in my hand. My right arm is fine, just a little soar when i stretch it, whatnot. I've experienced these pains before but i dont know...my left arm just feels more abnormal than usual after working out. What could be the problem? I didnt work out yesterday and I don't think i can today. Should I let it fully heal before lifting weights again?

Take two aspirin and drink a liter of water with the aspirin. Tomorrow, take two aspirin when you wake up, with a liter of water, wait 30-60min, then have breakfast. I don't foresee any situation where you should be scared. It happens to the best of us.

Supposively doing cardio in the morning, right after waking up and before eating breakfast is the ultimate fat burner and the absolute best time to do cardio.

This is true only if you are breaking up your workouts into 2 sessions: morning and evening/afternoon.

If you do all in the same session, always lift first and then do cardio for a few reasons, but one of the main reasons is you dont want to tire yourself out and then have your workout suffer.

If you are obese, then doing this in a fasted state will really trim down the waist line. I would still take 20g whey protein prior to running/exercise, as you still want to limit any catabolism. If losing weight is your priority, and keeping muscle mass is irrelevant, then doing cardio in a fasted state is remarkable.

the protein supplements that atlargenutrition offers, like Nitroen and Opticen. If i were to purchase these, these supplements would take the place of whatever i'm doing for whey protein now, am i right? or would i be taking the Nitroen AND whatever I'm curently doing for whey protein. thanks

Whey protein by itself is a fast digesting protein, great when used when waking up, prior to and post-workout. Casein/egg blends are slow digesting, and are great for an in between meal as well as pre-bed. If you do not have options available, you can take this in lieu of whey, though, I would by pure whey as well as a blend for the other times in the day.

UF was awesome! Undergrad was sick. My last year I stayed at this place off of 34th and Willington called Campus Lodge or something like that. It was opened in '00 and I was one of the first inhabitants. The place was AWESOME and there was a TON of poon there everyday at the pool.

Need to lose 40 pounds in 3 weeks, what foods do I need to eat, breakfast, lunch, dinner. Or do I eat several small meals throughout the day. What is the best to eat even though it doesn't taste great.

Thanks. Not everything I say will be 100% correct, at least based on science, as I'm not an MD. Everything expressed are ways that I've tried, worked on, and succeeded on *my* diet and exercise plan.

Again, if I come across something I do not know, I will research it for you guys (within reason).

WTF! Please tell me this is for a Playgirl shoot. You shouldn't be loosing more than 2 lbs a week, to still be 'healthy.'
