Thanks for the above post. The attitude expressed in that New Testament scripture is the prevailing motivation for my own belief that we collectively pool our efforts to help assure that as many of our fellow Americans receive needed health care and assistance as is possible.
Actually, I can see both sides. I wouldn't want to be supporting deadbeats either. I'm just saying if you are claiming to be the best nation in the world, people shouldn't be denied healthcare in your country just because they can't afford it. We've all heard the stories.
Also, some people can't help being poor, although I'm sure for a lot of them it's just because they are lazy.
Who is denied healthcare? I have never heard of anyone being turned away. What is Medicare, Medicaid, Tenncare, etc..............?
Too damn funny...what if we get healthcare reform but Punter can't get it?
Perry raises possibility of states' rights showdown with White House over healthcare
AUSTIN — Gov. Rick Perry, raising the specter of a showdown with the Obama administration, suggested Thursday that he would consider invoking states’ rights protections under the 10th Amendment to resist the president’s healthcare plan, which he said would be "disastrous" for Texas.
Wow, what a douche.
