Okay, here was my impression of the 1st half of this one... Montreal's offense looks to finally have hitting a bit of stride in the last couple drives, getting Calvillo is freakin' 40,000 yards. Obviously the game of field position is critical, and Ezra Landry has just created a massive advantage for the Alouettes in that facet of the game. That being said, the offense STILL hasn't scored, in this game that was supposed to be so high scoring.
As far as the defense, I think that Montreal is starting to figure some things out with the blitz, but once Ricky Ray counters that with the flip out to the tailback, who is ridiculously fast as well, Montreal may have to back off a bit once again.
That being said, I'm not convinced Montreal's dead in this game. As we saw with Landry, one big play can put you right back in a game, and if there is momentum right now, it rests with the Alouettes. If the home field can get going, perhaps they have a chance in the 2nd half.
However, I don't see how the offense CAN'T get going for the Alouettes with all of the talent on the field, and I think Ricky Ray can still put up a bunch of points in the 2nd half. That being said...
Montreal/Edmonton over 27.5 2nd half (2 units -106)
