Maybe the Als defence just really sucks:icon_conf They played a brutal Hamilton offence and a very average Gades offence..Esks offence the first real test and boy do they look pitiful :finger: :sad3:

I thought the Als would come out like they played the first 7 quarters this year. Instead they are playing like they did the final quarter at OTT. Oh well, on to the late game. This Al D has NO chance to stop EDM. EDM wants this game a LOT more.

He did that last year to win the TOR game. It was the only TD of the game I think.

Eskimos tried to hide this guy last year on their practice squad, he's listed at 5 4' and 155lbs

Okay, here was my impression of the 1st half of this one... Montreal's offense looks to finally have hitting a bit of stride in the last couple drives, getting Calvillo is freakin' 40,000 yards. Obviously the game of field position is critical, and Ezra Landry has just created a massive advantage for the Alouettes in that facet of the game. That being said, the offense STILL hasn't scored, in this game that was supposed to be so high scoring.

As far as the defense, I think that Montreal is starting to figure some things out with the blitz, but once Ricky Ray counters that with the flip out to the tailback, who is ridiculously fast as well, Montreal may have to back off a bit once again.

That being said, I'm not convinced Montreal's dead in this game. As we saw with Landry, one big play can put you right back in a game, and if there is momentum right now, it rests with the Alouettes. If the home field can get going, perhaps they have a chance in the 2nd half.

However, I don't see how the offense CAN'T get going for the Alouettes with all of the talent on the field, and I think Ricky Ray can still put up a bunch of points in the 2nd half. That being said...

I've got a TSN pickup on this channel here that I think is local... CSS??? I dunno... they've got the first game, but not the 2nd game on TV.

Perhaps I am chasing this play... but once again, the term "experiment" still comes to mind. These are all small plays for me, so once again, take what I say very carefully...

I'm watching on DIRECTV, the Altitude channel, out of Denver. They show both games on Friday nights.

That first drive for the Als is very encouraging IMO....

Scott... at some point I'll get a dish, but it won't be in Tallahassee while I'm in an apartment... I can only wish...

INT! Another chance for MON.

GOTTA have a dish for AFL especially. Almost every game is on it. But it is tough in an apartment, although most places let you have one. I see them here a lot on balconies.

No dishes allowed at this particular complex... But I don't have the $$$ for it either. I do the AFL purely based on statistics and intuition... watching the games would provide a total edge in 2nd halves... But this CFL stuff is very exciting as well, and could definitely see myself wanting a dish in the future for both of these games.

Told you the Alouettes weren't done at least... whether they win/cover the game or not, they definitely have shown that they are alive and want to win. Calvillo's big night getting to 40,000 might be a plesant ending for us all...

I heart Ezra Landry...

Only need 2 more TDs for the over, and Montreal looks just a tad better at this point than they did at the half...

JEEEEESUS! Landry looked like he made a left turn and threw the ball away BEFORE he got to the goal line! I would fine his ass even though he scored. You do NOT celebrate and toss the ball until you are WAY deep in the EZ.

Didn't even notice it... ..... Memories of Jabar Gaffney all over again... don't remind me...

Landry's gotta have about 250 yards of returns today after that one out to almost midfield. Lovin' the over in the 2nd half after 22 in the 3rd... so far... still like the Als in this game to keep it rolling and come up with the big plays to help 'em cover this one.

What a game... congrats to everyone else on here who managed a push... except Scott for a win... and I walk away a loser of slight proportion tonight, but break just about even after the 2nd half over. Feel I was on the right side of the game though. Hoping for lots of BC and Ottawa points tonight to complete a nicer night.
