Been around here for long long time. Dont post very often. GoSooners i for one thank you for ALL your time and efforts in CFB. You know that these teams that schedule a "real" tester put most everything on the line, as Always some make it through, but usually someone bites the dust. Oklahoma IMHO has NO chance to win the Big 12, much less the National Champs. Big game Bob has won ONLY that one Big game way back when the Sooners shut down FSU and Stoops gave em a Safety at the very end of the game.
Agree 100%. I don't think OU wins the Big 12 South. Although they could play the spoiler role. Especially when OSU comes to Norman. Until Stoops makes some major changes in his coaching staff, I think the Sooners will continue on the same road they are on now. Trouble is, Stoops is very loyal to his staff. And I've never seen him make any siginificant firings while he's been head coach. But this week has been the first time that I've really heard some major grumblings among the fans and on the message boards. Persoanlly, I'm not pleased at all with this coaching staff. And I've felt this way for the last five years. I think Wilson is trying too hard to outhink the opposing defenses by calling all of these different audibles on virtually every play they line up for. Sometimes I'm just thinking, "snap the fucking ball already." And this last offensive performance blame has definitely been put on his back. And deservably so. I also don't think any championship caliber defense would let a non-BCS team drive the ball 75 yards in the closing minutes on them to win the game. I think OU still has holes in the secondary. And middle linebacker Ryan Reynolds still hasn't recovered from his last injury because he definitely looked a step or two slower out there.

i disagree. stoops has continued to win the big games within the conference. 6-1 in the big 12 title game. we're not gonna beat texas every year. yeah, the bcs losses have sucked, and i had to question the play calling against fla. last year, and i was disappointed with some of the play calling against byu.

a tough non conference schedule still left in tulsa and miami away. i can't believe that so many people expected ou to have a cakewalk to the texas game. the freshman qb played well the other night in my opinion. i was impressed when he took a hard hit and still almost completed a great pass down the field. he didn't come close to throwing a pick despite being under pressure, and i felt our receivers failed to make a couple of plays. that is what ou is gonna need with bradford and gresham being out -- someone's gonna have to become a playmaker. i think we're going to emphasize a more grind it out approach, try to shorten the game with murrary and brown. that was another aspect of the byu game i was disappointed with. 3 minutes to go and we have all 3 timeouts, and we completely abandoned the run game. murray had been running well and i felt like we still had a good shot to get within makeable fg range. i think i've complained about taking a delay of game at the goal line enough.

it's gonna be tough going this season, especially with okie st. looking like they're for real. if baylor and tx a&m prove to be for real, at least we get them at home.
