Go, I have to admit I've been a stalker to this sight since last season. Never posted, but I just have to tip my hat to you. I didn't realize what a value you were (and everyone else for that matter.......good or bad), until this past weekend when the rx was down. sounds like brandon land philosophy. in the long run you should never ever by points. learned this along the way as i used to be a guy that "bought the hook". def not something that should be done on a regualr basis.

BP...I'm sure OU worked on Washington. Even though they did see Washington's 2 RB scheme when they came to Norman last season. The only thing that concerns me about playing heavy chalk on the road is calling audibles out of the no-huddle offense in a noisy stadium. And hoping the offense don't get out of sync. But weighing the options, I will more than likely do a rare thing and take OU for a SMALL play and reluctantly hand over the 20 points. But it won't be easy for me. Because it's not really my style.

They played Washington @Norman in 2006(Paul Thompson). They have never seen Bradford. Big difference!

I was talking more about Washington's offense vs OU's defense. I remember the Huskies opened up some pretty big holes in the heart of our defense that day running the ball. I KNOW Stoopsy is going to be looking to make sure this doesn't happen again. I have no doubt about our offense. I don't think that anybody outside of maybe Texas, is going to hold this offense out of the 40's. So OU should make for a better cover team this year. And a good OVER team.

Like Bellyputter says, there are a few places that already have it at 3....Bodog, 5DIMES, BetJam..If your book don't have it at that number, you might want to wait and see what happens.

SMU at Texas Tech...June Jones is bringing his new team into Lubbock having scored 74 points in their first two games. You would think with that kind of point production we would see a 2-0 team riding high coming into this game. But instead SMU is 1-1 after losing by 29 to Rice 56-27. And they just got past Division 2 Texas St. last week 47-36. Texas Tech comes in after a hard fought game against Nevada. They never got in sync and didn't play well in that game and Leach has let them know about it. And even though Tech didn't play well in their first game either against Eastern Washington (school record 18 penalties for 170 yards) they still scored 49 on EW. And hear me now and believe me later, that Eastern Washington team is much better than SMU. And almost knocked off Colorado the next week. The difference between Nevada last week and Eastern Washington and SMU this week was Nevada could run the ball..This SMU team can't. They only managed to rush for 14 yards in 11 carries against Rice. That won't get it done at all here. SMU will try to beat Tech at their own game and are going to get their nose bloodied. I guarantee you after their performance the past two weeks, and no significant game on the horizon, Leach is going to unleash the hounds. There should be a "no mas" rule for this game, because it's going to get ugly. And as we've learned over the years, Leach doesn't believe in having mercy when inferior teams come to town. His motto is "if they don't have the team to compete, don't come into our house". There's going to be plenty of flying tacos in Lubbock Saturday night. Taking Texas Tech (-36) over SMU **

I'm looking forward to seeing the total for that Tech/SMU game when it gets posted. I'm sure it's going to be sky-high and I'm sort of hoping it'll get bet up to where it's ridiculous. It could make a nice Under play then, as I don't think SMU is quite ready for a Big 12 defense right now, not even Texas Tech's.

How much will June Jones be salivating when he looks across the field at the Raider quarterback and receivers? Those are pretty much just what he dreams of having.

AA...I'm sure the total will be in the 77 range for the game. But SMU isn't a balanced enough team to score in bunches on TT. With no running game the Tech defenders can key on the receivers and QB. I'm betting SMU doesn't score over 17 in this game. At 36 the line is begging for SMU money. But I'm betting that Leach keeps his first unit in this game for a long time after the way they performed last week. And they'll have this number reached by the start of the 4th quarter. Your right about June Jones salivating over those TT players. He knows he has almost nothing to work with this year. And on top of this they're trying to learn his complicated offense.
