Yes it is checks and balances.

No it isn't.

Which is why "checks and balances" doesn't mean: "The Executive branch calls you a terrorist, the Executive branch confirms you are a terrorist"

Those words you are typing have a definition which you clearly do not know [the Constitution set up a system of checks and balances to help ensure that no one branch became too powerful].

You can stop now.

They still have set up a series of checks and balances that need to be met before the use of drones. Sorry you were wrong again, lol. But you should be used to it.

It's funny seeing conservatives defending Al Qaeda members just because Obama wants to kill them. If this were Bush, you guys would be calling everyone a liberal pansy who didn't approve of it. Sorry if I do not feel bad that American citizens who join Al Qaeda are getting blown up.

What the fuck happened to climate change. All this is now is, you're a lair.......no you're a liar.

Now we're talking about al Queda in a global warming thread.

LOL our great grandchildren will all die of natural causes before this argument is settled. JMO but to me, like recycling global warming is BS.

While I totally disagree with you about droning, you are absolutely, 100% Correct in the above post. Just shows the hypocrisy of so many.

With 15 years of flat temperatures invalidating the “models” climate-clucking “scientists” cherish, blame-mankind politicians resort to shouting down opponents, bogus doomsday scenarios, false claims that scientific “consensus” favors their side and calls for economically ruinous “action” — as Secretary of State John Kerry did in a speech in Indonesia.
He likened skeptics of man-made climate change to the Flat Earth Society, called global warming a weapon of mass destruction and warned against letting “a few loud interest groups” — major oil and coal companies — “hijack the climate conversation.”

Thankfully, genuine scientists see through such politically motivated deception.

S. Fred Singer, chairman of the Nongovernmental International Panel on Climate Change, writes in the American Thinker that science doesn't work by consensus — most breakthroughs contradict prevailing wisdom. And he reminds that those infamous Climategate emails show “consensus” manufactured by perverting peer review to suppress climate skeptics' views.

The flat 15-year trend falsifies “the greenhouse climate models, all of which predict a strong future warming.” Yet governments base climate policy on those models, Mr. Singer writes.
What climate alarmists have left to fall back on is anything but science. Singer says they “embrace faith and ideology — and are no longer interested in facts.” And that's no fit basis for any policy, let alone the radical, redistributive, anti-growth climate leftism Mr. Kerry espouses.

You aren't capable of realizing that by merely offering disagreement on a few substantive points you're lumped into the "defending Al Qaeda members" category.

Keep clapping.

Except there are no "checks and balances"

LOL

You don't know what those words mean

Yes it is checks and balances. And if you are an American citizen hanging out in Al Qaeda strongholds overseas you might be incidentally killed. Don't join al Qaeda and you'll be fine.

You really have no clue what you are talking about.

http://www.theatlantic.com/politics...the-killing-of-a-16-year-old-american/264028/

"Asked about the strike that killed him, a senior adviser to the president's campaign suggests he should've "had a more responsible father."

"Again, note that this kid wasn't killed in the same drone strike as his father. He was hit by a drone strike elsewhere, and by the time he was killed, his father had already been dead for two weeks. Gibbs nevertheless defends the strike, not by arguing that the kid was a threat, or that killing him was an accident, but by saying that his late father irresponsibly joined al Qaeda terrorists. Killing an American citizen without due process on that logic ought to be grounds for impeachment. Is that the real answer? Or would the Obama Administration like to clarify its reasoning? Any Congress that respected its oversight responsibilities would get to the bottom of this."

You defend an administration that murders it's own citizens, a child no less.

Greenpeace Co-Founder: Yeah, GW is all made up BS:

Statement of Patrick Moore, Ph.D.

Before the Senate Environment and Public Works

Committee, Subcommittee on Oversight February 25, 2014

There is no scientific proof that human emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2) are the dominant cause of the minor warming of the Earth’s atmosphere over the past 100 years. If there were such a proof it would be written down for all to see. No actual proof, as it is understood in science, exists.

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) states: “It is extremely likely that human influence has been the dominant cause of the observed warming since the mid-20th century.” (My emphasis)

“Extremely likely” is not a scientific term but rather a judgment, as in a court of law.

Penn & Teller's Bullshit - Global Warming:

@)

That video needs to be watched by everyone.

Penn & Teller, who are *certainly* not right-wing conservatives, knock it out of the park with this.

Funniest quote in the video: Some leftist environmentalist nut-bag at the 13:01 mark :

"I have this connection with rocks, so that whenever I'm around them, or holding one, I feel grounded"

[h=1]Greenpeace co-founder: No scientific proof humans are dominant cause of warming climate[/h] Published February 26, 2014FoxNews.com

  • icebergs_antartica2.jpg

    Reuters

A co-founder of Greenpeace told lawmakers there is no evidence man is contributing to climate change, and said he left the group when it became more interested in politics than the environment.

Patrick Moore, a Canadian ecologist and business consultant who was a member of Greenpeace from 1971-86, told members of the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee environmental groups like the one he helped establish use faulty computer models and scare tactics in promoting claims man-made gases are heating up the planet.
“There is no scientific proof that human emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2) are the dominant cause of the minor warming of the Earth’s atmosphere over the past 100 years,” he said.
Even if the planet is warming up, Moore claimed it would not be calamitous for men, which he described as a “subtropical species.”
Skeptics of manmade climate change say there is no evidence the Earth is warming. A UN report on the scientific data behind global warming released in September indicated that global surface temperatures have not increased for the past 15 years, but scientists who believe climate change due to man is occurring say it has merely paused because of several factors and will soon resume.
The 2,200-page new Technical Report

attributes that to a combination of several factors, including natural variability, reduced heating from the sun and the ocean acting like a “heat sink” to suck up extra warmth in the atmosphere.
Moore said he left Greenpeace in the 1980s because he believed it became more interested in politics than science.
“After 15 years in the top committee I had to leave as Greenpeace took a sharp turn to the political left, and began to adopt policies that I could not accept from my scientific perspective,” he said. “Climate change was not an issue when I abandoned Greenpeace, but it certainly is now.”
