After going to Winterland, the Fillmore, Avalon Ballroom, Cow Palace, to at least 40 concerts, i can honestly say Janis was always electrifying in a way like no other. A pioneer for women in rock. Tragic life, but those few years she toured before dying....are etched in my memory forever. As far as rock music went, growing up in San Francisco in the 60s was a gift.
