today Hertha was -1 so will add to that stat for anyone that wants to track it. interesting trend though with only 4 of 17 big favorites winning by 2 or more goals going into tonight's match

two teams going in complete different directions. Bremen is struggling big time..they are now even down to a relegation spot and coming of a big 0-4 derby loss to Hamburg..they just played awful and without any spirit..although everybody expects them to get out of the basement they geeting even worde and main problem besides a terrible defense is lack of team chemistry and the so called "star players" dont take on the relegation fight..even worse they fight and blame each other resulting in coach Schaaf leaving Arnautovic, Marin and Silvestre out of starting line up after their behavoiur during midweek training...instead he will start a youngster from the junior team having his first ever Bundesliga game...on top of that Frings is suspended in midfield for today.
That all is not goof facing a team like Leverkusen..Leverkusen is only team left chasing Dortmund. they are a great away team with 8-2-1 record and have won 4 of last 5 matches. mid week euro league game is no concern as they played after a 4-0 away win only with a B-Team on thursday resting players for today. they usually coming from a strong defense in away games and being dangerous on the counter attack..this is a perfect set up vs. Bremen which struggles on offense and is slow on defense..looking for a nice away win here.

Dortmund- Köln: Köln +1.5 @ 1.99
i know everything looks so easy for Dortmund..they are dominant league leader, coming of a hugh win at München. Köln has a few key players out in Geromel, Matushyk.
I am not saying that Köln is getting points here, but i think it might be a close game.
Köln is full of confidence. If you look only at the games after winter break you find from 7 games played Dortmund on top with 15 pts, followed by Köln with 14...they welcome back Petit in defensive midfield from suspension for today s game and also regular defensive startet brecko from suspension..that should help the team to slow down Dortmund a bit and destroy their rythm.
With their recent run they will be definetely not shy to attack from a defensive strong position and podolski and Novakovic are always able to score even against the strong Dortmund defense.
Dortmund on the other hand is no doubt the better team, but they have sometime shown problems to put weaker teams away at home, where they struggle somehow to score...away they are far more dangerous and actually have even a better away rec than at home...they have not scored an avarage of 2 goals at home.
if köln scores that could be very well a 2-1 type of game.
it will also not help Dortmund to have the big win at München..i think a lot was focused on that game as the last milestone to take on the way to the championship, so it might be a little bit of a let down spot as well.
Last few Dortmund home games show what i mean..2-0 over terrible st.pauli, 1-1 vs. bottom Stuttgart, 0-0 over then not well playing Schalke.
so be careful, as this game can as well end 2-0 or something and being a loser, but i like the chance for Köln to stay in the game considering the whole setup.

i hope frankfurt wins, or even better personally for me would be a draw, but how can you bet Frankfurt? they have not scored this year (in last 7 games)...could be a 0-0,1-0 type game..we will see
What about the moneyline at -155? Leverkusen for some reason is much better on the road, as evidenced by their +2 goal differential at home. Still like them, think they will bounce back from those 2 late goals they gave up to Bremen. Vidal is suspended though today, what do you think Chris?
