your right. i apologize if i offended you. at times, i get a little jacked-up -- i was brought-up that when someone disrespects you, your family, friends, and/or your country you teach them respect. and win or lose we both ALWAYS walked away with respect. i shouldn't let this little dope-smoker get under my skin.

as far as kerry, i agree that it's a bit of a stretch, but a lot less of a stretch than saying bush is a genocidal coward. sometimes you lower yourself when dealing with ignorance.

once again, thanks for being a voice of reason.

quote:
Actually I find this Hansen Bros/Lander argument very amusing. Why don't we get several posters together and have them all put up a few dollars, and arrange for Hansen and Lander to actually fight!!!

I've offered this. Some cunt up in British Columbia mouthed off to me and I had had enough. Long story short, I offered him $1000 CAD plus his airfare and one night lodging for a victory. The only thing was he had to pony up a $782 CAD deposit with a mutually agreed third party in case he lost so I could be compensated for airfare and lodging. IMO that was a good deal for him had he been able to beat me. At best I could only get my money back but he would actually make money. He avoided me like a chicken$hit, though. Truly sad.

I'm not implying that either of these two are that much of a wimp I'm just stating my experience with trying to set something like this up.

Not that I would ever do this....

Lander,

This is one of your all-time best bullsh*t lines, "Sj,
While it's refreshing to see you forming your OWN opinions for a change..."

So in Lander's World, only those who reach negative conclusions about George W. Bush and the Republican Party are capable of reaching their own, independent positions. Anyone to the right of the political spectrum arrived there only because they were force fed propaganda, while those on the left like Lander arrived at their conclusions solely through heartfelt, intellectual introspection...

What a colossal elitist prick you are. The funny thing is that if hardcore marxists ever did come to power in this country (as you and your ilk are trying to bring about) they would take whiny little dope smoking, latte drinking, birkenstock wearing, Greenwich Village types like you and put two in the back of your f*ckin head because you were a threat to them based on your education level. And if Osama and his followers from the "religion of peace" start killing people in the streets of your precious New York City, all of your enlightened tolerance and hip liberalism won't save your sniveling little, elitist, prententious ass from an early trip to meet Allah.

1. I'm very opposed to drugs. I always have been.
2. I'm a centric Independent, so if anyone resorts to simply manufacturing others views it would seem that person would be you, not I.
3. I've also said on many occasions that I don't particularly care for NYC, but it's irrefutable that living here opens your eyes. See without having lived on both sides of the fense you simply CANNOT see both sides - hence your blindness.

The facts are that you were 0-3 in making assumptions about me. Maybe you're just a little slow? Or perhaps you just don't take the time to thing before you open your simpleton mouth to the world?

i've had it w/ you!!! i was gonna leave well enuff alone, but like a typical liberal moron -- you couldn't! so, let's end this -- just you and me man-to-man. no threats. just plain and simple american-to-communist. PLEASE, i hate to beg, but if that is what it takes -- I WILL pay for your trip! but i want your full name -- so, like a typical liberal you don't puss out. i'm not afraid who you might send in your place, i just WANT you!!

Ok, jerky. This is exactly what happens when idiotic WWF stars get elected to the Governor's chair - the whole state loses what little concept of reality that they had

I have a simple solution - don't read the threads. It's not like you comprehend them anyway

This is just too damn funny...
I had a buddy who took juice for awhile and he threatened everyone's life. One day someone broke his knee and no one felt sorry for him. Now, he can tell you if it will rain on any give day.

Its the same everywhere tho.
Wealth/power/influence etc.
Is it not good, that you are at least aware of it when it happens, as it happens, and who is involved?

In the UK they try to hide much of it, in the USA it is much harder (IMO) to hide.

It's a good starterpack for a free society.

i feel sorry for you: you are a complete coward; you are obviously uneducated (misuse of punctuation, misuse of the form of the verb be); and you are full of hatred for your own country. what a miserable existence.

Your absolutely right hanson bros.

Guys like lander are full of hatred for this country as are about 30 some percent of 'Americans'. Lets wait until the "next civil war" before we pound the shit out of them all.

Dr. Webster bros.,
Since you're suddenly concerned with grammar then may I suggest that you take a closer look at your colon (":") usage.

"your own country"

The United States isn't my country, nor is it yours as neither of us own it.

Stick to your abstract worries about "nationalism" and I'll stick to worrying about the realities of "humanity."

You are nothing more than a puppet for a war nation.

you cannot be for real -- this has to be some kind of bad joke. no one could possibley be this ignorant, and think that they have some semblance of intelligence simultaneously. it amazes me that your brain has the wherewithal to tell your heart to beat. go back to school (if you were ever there tobegin with) and LEARN to speak proper english before posting! quit embarrassing yourself!!! God what a dolt!

I have a problem with using a Newsweek article as some sort of unbiased media source. Their leftist, liberal agenda has been well-documented over the past 20 years.

My question for Lander and Newsweek is this:

If Bush's military backround is so critical to his qualifications for the Presidency, why was it never an issue in 2000?

Obviously,no one will convince you to stop resenting Bush. However, a vast majority can stop you from trying to pass off your opinion for unbiased fact.

It's not my opinion that Bush evaded war when he had an opportunity to fight for America, yet started two when he could let others' children shed the blood that he was too cowardly to shed.

It wasn't an issue in 2000 because we hadn't destroyed foreign relations and spent 2+ years in genocidal wars under Al Gore's command and King George was still murdering people in Texas at a record pace.

Hansen,
I'm curious buddy - which type of puppet are you? At first I just thought that the propaganda was pulling your strings since you're a little too slow for silly things like deductive reasoning and free thinking. However, lately I'm getting the impression that you're more of a hand puppet -- you seem to be the type that would like ol Georgies' hand shoved up your ass. I mean, I know there isn't much to do in Minnesota beside post about being tough and keeping the other guys warm in hockey locker room ... so it just seemed to fit you well.

Lander I had a bad dream the other night. I dreamed that the bodies of the children who died in Bush's war were stacked up in his bedroom, all the way up to the ceiling. The first lady was hysterical, Bush was whimpering, and the Secret Service was consoling them.Very surreal.
