<BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><font size="-1">quote:</font><HR> Poor bookmaking brought down this book not stealing <HR></BLOCKQUOTE>
A lot of people making statements like this one. The evidence that is cited about poor bookmaking, bad lines, etc is undeniable. But, unless you worked there, you don't know about stealing. Just because they were bad bookies doesn't mean that nothing else went on. it doesn't mean that it is the ONLY way they screwed up. What, you can't be a bad bookie and a crook at the same time? Getting tired of these broad statements with unsupported conclusions.

I guess that's my point ! Get it ?

Ball - you think it would be that way but it's actually just the opposite more times than not. You might hear rumblings now and then but no one who really KNOWS will say anything until it's too late. When the ship goes down every guy in the world has to come forward and tell you he knew it all the time.

Why don't they tell us before? Lot of reasons but the most obvious is they have a financial interest in the book hanging on. Maybe a pay-out? They run to the sites they know they won't get their money. So they sit on information while others get taken in hoping they can get paid. Sucks but that's the way it goes down a lot. We got guys now who will tell us what Mike Silver spent on lunch two weeks ago, how big his bankroll is and how much he's got in the bank. We get all the useless information we will ever need now that the book is dead.

When I called this bOok back in Sept. I got the distinct impression Fred was running the whole show.

Sick G., any estimates on how much was skimmed?

Buzzsaw, your question is the most pertinent in the whole thread. "Why would Royal want this DUMP?"

3rd Floor Torre Del Este across the street from the University. Would you like to know the busser code to open the door??

I did not work there but that used to be my office before the turn key operation moved in.

It is not hard to tell what happened to this book if you actually played there, like Strutt said they had some goofy lines.

eh, you didn't work there. read my post again since you didn't respond to the main point.
you've expressed an opinion. the only thing that you've given evidence for is that they offered poor lines (for them).

The more that is revelaed about this situation the more inclined I am to believe Bravehearts theory about why Royal would "purchase" this place.

GA bailed out a book for a 10Xer and now on a 5Xer, throw in another one and you have people rolling 20Xers. If People can manage that then its gonna take some time. 10X has to be played for 200K. Time is money which goes in the pockets of the next book in line.
I'll open a book and offer 50% deposit with 5x rollover. Advantage players. pass that on to 2 other books in "bailouts" 50% bonus with 15X rollover, all the sudden bookie make MOOOOOLA! Take away the name change of the book and for some this is the third book in the bailout line. Book b4 GA, GA, Royal. Thats 20X rollover. That person's money isnt worth SHIT! My point is maybe we should hold off to see some details before we drop rose pedals on Roberto's naked ass. THATS ALL

look at it this way. WHAT IF THIS WAS A LOCAL GUY NAMED GOERGE THE BOOKIE. Come pay day George says I cant pay a dime but TOM will take your action. Your number is at +1000 with TOM but he wont pay you a cent until you gamble 5 dimes with him. THIS IS TOTALLY UNACCETPLE, on top of everything else you put up money to play wth GA in good faith.
