Shrink, I love it how your source can be anonymous, but any one else making a claim must reveal there sources. What a joke. I stand by all my statements. They are all true, and my source will remain anonymous. And shrink knows nothing about sportbet's problems

How do these monthly win/loss figures compare to other books?

Did these guys know what they were doing?

Don't seem like it.

Shrink,

I doubt Mr. Silver had to pay himself

Wow this book is VERY SMALL.

But when i phoned GA before there were different ladies answering the phones to take my bets about a week ago.....

Care to explain? Did they use another call centre?

Probably most of the handle was by Oldfriend to meet requirements of the bonus they gave him.

what's done is done. this is interesting though. I honestly thought they were just unlucky and lost the post up money. looks like thats what happened. so much talk about them blowing it.

it takes a big bankroll to win as a casino, no doubt.

p.s.- shrink please chage your avitar. if your going to go the naked chick route, go there. what is this 1952?

STING said Gambler's Avenue was a sportsbook on the rise. STING has a lot of explaining to do. Or maybe he can come clean and just confirm what everybody knows, that he is a lying piece of shit.

So Mike Silver lost nearly $167,000?

Ivan, they lost 151,500.. And that probably doesn't include bonuses.. Also, doesn't include advertising ( i assume) and some other expenses.

Well, how in the world does a book lose roughly 2.5% over 6 million in bets? A good book with the usual handle of 4.5% should have won 270k, not lose 151,500.

And it's not like they had weak lines. They had the worst lines I have ever seen. There was NO value whatsoever there. All their lines there were numbers right off the screen. And baseball was horrible.. 20 cent lines always. How the f uck did they lose 150+ dimes.

Can someone please explain to me how?? I'd really love to know.

Unless Mikey boy was gambling on the side. That is the ONLY explanation I can find because NO WAY a book loses 2.5% over 6 million in bets.

Ive seen NHL lines there left up AFTER the 1st period was over!. They wouldnt have even taken it down if I didnt tell fredd about it.

Most of that handle was probably Claude the fraud and his 10 accounts scalping out bonuses.

Wow!

Would consider myself to be a mid-roller, but obviously I was a very high roller in the eyes of GA with those daily figures.

Could my 2 dime payout last Friday have sent them over the edge??

You're taking a lot on faith here. I think it's hard for most to believe that we had some hard working honest guys here who made a go of it in business and it didn't work out.

As I have stated many times a lot of these shops are nothing more then bookies moving south and putting up web sites. I do have to believe that these losing #s include either bonus or operating expense.

According to the GamblersAvenue database

From February 28 2003 to August 8th 2003 the company had only 216 deposits totaling $324,430...and a rollover of $1,977,820.

I have statistics..so in theory, GA was making descent money - I would assume

Ivan

3.) Rent - ISC - $6,000 per month (this amount includes everything)

ISC is a turn key operation that housed GA. They provide phone, internet, clerks, linemanagers and support in exchange for the 6 dimes listed above.

If there is anyone to be held reposible for this mess it is ISC. They were the ones running the shit lines providing ample middles that cost GA all the dollars. Mike Silver is not a bookmaker by any means and was open on admitting that, he trusted people who were supposed to be pros in the industry and they ****ed GA up the ass......

I am in no way sticking up for Mike, just telling how it went down......

If anyone has a copy of GA's lines for last weekends Jets and Giants take a close look at the numbers they had then the score and you will know where the $$$ went.

Poor bookmaking brought down this book not stealing.
