Has nothing to do with character, Mags. Has to do with the always restricting concept of "too much to lose".

You've got to be stupid greedy to mess with the gold that these guys got falling from the sky.
Except they do it ALL the time.

Men in power cheat because there are so few repurcussions......

You all always act like TONS of people have to be in on deceptions, they dont.
In football all it takes is one rogue ref or one rogue player to fix/influence a game....its been proven and had happend before, many times in history, so the idea that it cant happen again is so naive.

OK. I don't want to get into a big back and forth.

I never said that it hasn't happened. But it's not worth discussing if there are a few isolated incidents. My point is that there is no major conspiracy to fix games. I already explained why. (too much to lose)

And the proof is in the fact that there has been no one who has come forward to blow the whistle on any widespread fixing. People have been using fixes as the reason for their betting losses for forever. Where are the whistleblowers? They surely would have surfaced by now.

Anyway, that's my opinion. Good luck.

Politics, by the way, is a totally different animal.

Okay Shaunangelo whatever you say.

Isolated incidents....LOLLOLOLOL....maybe do a tad bit of research before you make these kinds of declarations, cheating/fixing in sports has been and is a GLOBAL issue.

Think about the faulty logic here

If one thinks that players and owners have too much at stake from fixing games
And PROOF of nonfixing is because there are no whistleblowers

Imagine what the whistleblower has at stake for coming forward....literally NOTHING to gain and everything to lose....that person would be ridiuculed and attacked at best and if enough were at stake even worse consequences(like what happens to political whistlblowers, Seth Rich anyone)....about the best they could hope for is someone willing to pay them off to keep quiet, which is probably the best outcome for BOTH parties, and of course we would NEVER hear about that.

This post is NOT about whether matches are fixed but rather this silly notion perpetrated by "smart" people that something doesnt exist if we dont hear from a whistleblower......

A few of you must not remember the OBVIOUS pass interference non call near the end of the game when the Saints got screwed against the Rams in the playoffs couple years ago. Don't tell me that official had no direct influence on the outcome of that game.

It's a similar scenario is when teams are down 14 and now they often try to go for 2 when they cut it 8 with a TD

The reason teams do it is because you are more likely to score 15 and win in regulation than score 14 to tie it, and then have to win the game in OT

And if you miss the 2, you still are down by a touchdown and have another shot at it. That's why you attempt the 2-pt conversion on the first TD

Obviously not all teams do it, but it's fairly common. Ruined some 6-8 pt lines for sure

The odds of winning in any of these scenarios is slim to begin with

Down 14 going for 2 is fine. Down 11 going for 2 to cut it to 9 is bad math.

Games in the NFL are certainly not fixed, they are steered to give better odds for the desired outcome the NFL craves.

I highly recommend reading The fix is in. You will come away with a better understanding of how sports are officiated to generate desirable outcomes. Players absolutely are NOT involved, but they know what their Corporation is involved in and accept it because THEIR payoff is the utterly ridiculous amount of money they are paid!

This is no doubt that games are set up -especially now when you have many so called sharps laying big bucks - it seems past few years Joe public is doing much better -they had giants and GB past 2 - sharps got beat

That whole Baker narrative they pushed about 20 practice throws with a whole new team. Oh how amazing ? . Complete horse shit. I lost zero on the game but it prevented me from risking anything .

Then last night. the back and forth of the NFL can always be counted on. Every year the same shit works. So dumb to bet on something like this? Nah. As safe as the stock market. The NFL was founded by Shady characters . Frontiere was a burlesque dancer. Fun fact. They don't just let anybody in..

It is entertainment at the highest level. Any game might become as good as the best suspense movie you've ever seen . Hopefully they figure out Baker isn't one of our favorite actors. Like wrestling though there's gotta be guys to root against.
