I do not think every game is fixed, just like the NBA refs do not do it every game.
There are games that are coerced, teams helped or hurt by officials calls.
Last night was one of them. NFL wants Giants in playoffs, plain and simple.
Just because officials are helping a team does not mean they win.
I am more of the belief that they want certain teams in for media market, story line, small market
to keep fans interested, some gambling. They are now in bed with the books, they100% have to keep
their partners happy and in the black by a good margin.
Yes, there are lots of calls that are just the official is bad or made a bad call. I also agree on that.
Just like NBA does not have the best officials, the NFL does not either.
Why do you think there are now legacy officials? Have to keep it in the family, nice and tight knit
Yes! The NFL is an entertainment entity, that is what their charter is for. If you say that does not mean anything, well, I would have to disagree. Look at the other pro sports leagues, their charters say sports, not entertainment.
Some of these in game coaching decisions are truly over the top ridiculous! High school coaches know how to manage games better or are the NFL coaches doing it on purpose?
I find it hard to believe that a coach being paid millions at the top pro league has no clue or does not learn how to manage a game.
Yes, analytics rules some of the coaches and that is no defense in their decision making. Because the game is not played in a vacuum. Those charts are nice and have a use but not for every decision black and white. Statistical analysis is black and white, the games are not. Far to many variable to make decisions off a chart every time. That is folly and unintelligent
