The $800,000 figure seems to be common knowledge with that many google hits.

I'll admit I don't have an audit or confirmation. Hiring DC attorneys is certainly not cheap. The Berg case shows Obama has representation from a high powered DC law firm. It might end up being more than $800,000...more lawsuits are in the works.

Now that I said that....we do know it would only cost $12 to produce the vault certificate.

The point remains...why would Obama hire attorneys to fight such a basic request for a $12 document?

So basic, that all Americans are routinely required to produce the same requested document for "proof" of ID, citizenship ect.

Not true. I've needed it to travel without a passport on a Carib cruise and to fly to Cancun. It's also been required of me for FBI background checks to sell securities and to work with radioactive medical materials.

It's also required for my Federal issued photo ID.

You mention replacing an SS card...assuming you even have one. I never did until I was in my 30's...so I had to produce it to get my first SS card.

You might as well say...we don't really need oxygen...unless we breathe...about the same as intimating that we don't need to produce a Birth Certificate from time to time in everyday life.

As I said...Americans are routinely required to produce an original Birth Certificate as proof of ID.

Obama should not act like he is an elite above normal requirements.
