how could I forget Bramble

Those 2 fights were classics.....You don`t see fights like those these days.

Hearns-Hagler
Hagler-Leonard
Leonard-Duran

Those were the days.

yeah they never stopped a fight back then except to give Leonard the Hearns fight in 81 fighter safety was a non issue

No doubt.....Nobody ducked anyone back then.....And most fights were 15 rounds.

In a related story, most of those guys can't put a coherent sentence together now.

It was a great era for fighting but it didn't go away by coincidence. Some of it was greed on promoters parts but some of it also is just elite athletes have way more health and money incentive to play other sports now.

Hagler,Hearns,Leonard and Duran were all together not to long ago.

They all look healthy to me.

I would never down play that era....It was great no matter how you look at it.

Boxing at it`s finest.

Boxing is not even a sport this day and age.....Garbage.

I wasn't downplaying, just saying a few reasons why boxing has become a niche sport.

Hagler and Hearns both have some slurred speech from what I've seen. Leonard not so much but that has more to do with fighting style and the fact he retired pretty early the 1st time.

Boxing is a sport of the past. Like it or not the MMA is the new king. I don't ever see boxing going back to it's 70's/80's heyday. As for Pac/Mayweather, you couldn't pay me enough to hit the strip that weekend. Forget the cost, it's the element that will be in town for the fight. Plus Mayweather is such a douchebag, the only way I would go out there and watch it is if I could get a guarantee he would die in the fight...

UFC has already begun to peak in terms of popularity.

They have a lot of issues of their own

Hollyfield said they would give it to Paquaio in decision. He said it is rigged. Floyd will win and if I lose money betting on floyd to win then I'll happily lose.
