Ok General. I only provided the link to provide proper attribution, but it's a moot point since he ended up posting that message here anyway.

Please ignore my last post. I thought we would have a rational conversation. After reading your last post, I no longer think that is possible. Thanks and best of luck!

Trytrytry,

As another option, I would like to add: Or was this horse "juiced" before the race and thus should be disqualified for cheating? When the investigation is finished, on Thursday, I will post the results.

Folks,

I wanted to identify my situation as I wagered on this race (ran on Friday 4/16) and have not yet been compensated for my win. I stayed within all the limits and parameters identified by the different Sports Books I bet with, and was shocked when I found out I was not going to be paid for what I had justly won.

In fairness I was told by the different Sport Books I bet with that there was an investigation into the race, and some time would be needed to review for payment. Tomorrow (4/23) will be seven days since I fairly won my wagers and I feel that is an abundant amount of time for a full review.

I think it is reasonable to expect resolution without any further delays.

Without payment for my win and in the absence of any wrong doing, I will voice my concerns with the OSGA and work with them to enact the most aggressive sanctioning possible.

In addition, I will list for current or future bettors the names of the Sports Books who have not made compensation, even after no wrong doing was uncovered. Also, I will continue to blanket their sights to warn any potential gamblers of the integrity of the Sports Book they are looking to wager their hard earned money on. I will NEVER waver with my persistence.

By the same token, and with a just resolution, I will be happy to endorse each site as reputable and honest. I do understand that this is a business and businesses need to protect themselves, but the time has come to be fair.

Many thanks to all for the positive support I have seen in the Forum. Best of luck to everyone with your wagering.

Regards

I have laid back in the shade and taken in all the posts and have seenhow things have unfolded. I am indeed one of the main guys who bet He's Vivid in the 1st race at FL on 4/16/04. I must first tell all of you that exactly 5 offshore books have credited my account with the funds I have coming ( although I have not tried to get a pay out because I don't want one as of yet). Ten off shore books have suspended my accounts until the results of the investigation are final. Four books have told me they are not paying and not returning my deposit. I would also like to add that these off shore books that said they were not paying would not even let me get a word in edge wise and three books were absolute A--holes. I would like to thank the offshore book managers/owners who I spoke with and have been class act about the circimstances. I will indeed inform all on this web site who these class acts were and also inform you who suspended my account as well as who flat out DID NOT pay. Of the books who suspended my accounts, I have talked to all of them and they have said they were waiting for the results of the drug test and to hear from Chris Reagle (GM at FL) I have waited patiently and will do so through the weekend. If by Monday I do not see my progress or know of any new circumstances that the off shore books are waiting for I will release all the information about all the off shore books. Some of you may be very surprised. In the time since the race I have talked to many wise individuals and friends. Some things they brought up to me were that Las Vegas either doesn't take FL or if they do the simulcast the track (Hence all $ goes through the mutual pool at FL and Vegas obviously payed off the race after declared official) My father even called the head of the race book at caeser's palace and he said they have put no stop at any race at FL nor have they heard of any race fixing at FL. There was no need to call the MGM or mirage because if ceasars didn't hear anything then nobody in Vegas did. My wise friend brought up a good point that why should Fl race track and the stewards help out offshore books. It's a very good ques. because what authority does the offshore world have to question a race track, especially when FL is losing business because of them. I do believe that Jake and Tommy have talked to Chris Reagle and co. at FL and if they haven't they're the best liars I know. For those of you who want the truth here it is: the horse was bought in early 2003 as a 3yo,went imm ediately into training and was stopping in workouts. After being scoped the horse needed surgury for a paralyized flap. After two months recovery the horse went back into training and was working great when he started to buck shines. He was then layed up for the winter and went back into training indoors in early feb.He then worked three times on the finger lakes surface reported trainer Mikhael Rolffs who is a friend of mine and by the way she's a girl not a guy who has had a trainer's license for a little under two years. There is no doping, there is no race fixing, just a better animal in a very bad race. As you all know the splits and final time were the slowest of the day. the horse was not treated for lasix, and all the horses in the race had lost there previous race by double digits or more with the exception of He's Vivid and another horse who lost its previous race by 8 3/4 lenghths ( by the way that horse lifetime is 13-0-0-0) We expected the horse to take the lead and when he didn't break we thought we were losers. They also paused for some four or five minutes after the race before it went official probably because He's Vivid ran very green and we thought he may have cut somebody off in the race. If the race was 5 furlongs he would have lost, #4 was charging hard. We were happy to win but there was no celebration later due to the news from the offshore world. Its terrible when you do nothing wrong and get black balled by some places who think you doped a horse or fixed a race. I don't know how those rumors were started but only guess that some of the off shore books started them. We used many horses behind He's Vivid in the exacta and may horses in the daily double. We had no clue who would run second but I liked the 7 or 8 best of all in the second race even though I spread myself out. A big thing I've been hearing from the offshore books is that we manipulated the pools. Well I must be honest, I think the #1 reason why a horse player bets offshore is because the $ doesn't go into the mutual pool and the only other reason is that there not offering a track at your local OTB or simulcast location. If we did something wrong by opening many accounts at many books than I'll be damned. One thing I have learned from this is that one off shore book may own or have many sister co. So if you bet offshore books a,b,c,d, they could all be related and you're probably giving your bets to the same horse dept. for all four. I think this is the reason that terrible rumors were started and its not right. One other thing I was surprised with was how little about horse racing some horse dept. actually know. Its up to them to figure that out. One touchy subject I would like to talk about is the reputation of FL race track. They may have a bad rep. because of a few slimy individuals over the years ( who I can also comment on if necessary) but the fact of the matter is I've been betting FL for 20 yrs. and I'm a BIG loser. It's not as easy as everybody thinks. And with the addition of slot machines this year, competition is going to get very tough. Its obvious that alot of this is sour grapes and hopefully some of these books will see the light here do to all the facts. I will come back on Mon eve 4/26 ( after the races @FL) and give all an update on the entire situation. I look forward to reading all new posts and news you might have, and thank you for all your facts and support.

Herman Jones,
I guess it pays to know inside info! Great for you! Yes there are tons of sister books to the mager ones and horse rooms are the same for some! A little obvious spreading it around a dozen books! Guess if you bet the same horse at every book it would raise a red flag! But in all if they took the wager they should pay up!Looking forward to hearing who paid and who didn't!

I actually bet that race, I remembering looking at the racing form for a long time trying to figure out who to play! 4 and a half furlongs and every horse looked like shit on paper! I kept going back to the only first timer in the race! Well i did bet the favorite but I saved myself with a 30$ win bet on the 1.I played at OTB that day! Was surprised to see him win but I always play a saver on an only firster in the race!

Well???? its thursday here, almost friday now, and no news as far as the drug test????? This doesnt look good. Jake, you didnt do as you said you would. You said in a previous post that you would release the results on Thursday, and you didnt even post to make an excuse for that. How long do these guys( and us followers on this issue) need to wait to get an answer??? Is this going to be resolved or not???? What is the REAL issue why all these books are waiting and giving the bettors the "run-around"???? Say SOMETHING, ANYTHING!!!!!!!! The more time that passes, the more I have to believe the books are looking for a way not to pay, and still convince us they are right. Bottom line is, STILL, the race was official and whe bettors won. This "waiting on results" is irrelevent. Herman made a great point, why is the track going to go out of their way to help out their competition by ordering a test??????? Im sure they hope the books take the hit, you took the bets, and here it is, a week later, and you are all sitting around waiting for someone with balls to make a decision. Maybe thats it, NOBODY has the BALLS to step up to the plate and make a decision. Do you all run your companies that way??? Wait to see what someone else is going to do first???? One leader, and the rest followers?????? What a bunch of crap. Take the bets, then start a rumor when its time to pay. You all should be ashamed. Hope you sleep good at night knowing that alot of people will remember this, and this is NOT the type of publicity anyone needs. Get some balls, and be men about it!!!!

Yes Mr.Jones, you did do something wrong. You won. While the Books gladly accepted your money and action, the Offshore Boys have a tendency to not play fair when dealing with winners. It appears they can get away with just about anything, just because they say so.

WOW! this is getting interesting!

Two of the main people in question have found our thread and are now posting the detials!

Thanks HErman and fgorshin

Wow what a story this is. Im just in shock reading this stuff.

This could break open a half a dozen off shore places with a blacklisting. WOW.

Has there ever been such a widespread (many sportsbook) sportsbook crisis like this one. If these shops do not pay they will lose hundreds of current customers and will get no new ones.

And I was wrong in an earlier post, I was suspecting that there really was not many sportsbooks involved in this. WOW was I wrong!

If Herman Jones bet limits at 15 books he most likely has well over 100k comming. Considering the win ($24.60)and place ($20.20) prices, and the exacta payoff ($256.50), not to mention $136 double or $1,222 Tri.. Quite a score for one race. Congratulations.

Ummm, since Piny puts stuff in the pool that should come as no surprise.

...And if you do not belive that they put stuff in the pool, spend $50 on a exacta and watch how quickly the odds change. BetweenThePylons can confirm.
