I believe Favre threw an interception setting up that winning FG by the Giants.
That was with Green Bay.

Talking about the overtime game when he was with Minny.

But yes. He had lots of killer ints he huge situations---why he only played in 2 super bowls when it could have been 4 or 5.

If Favre had Holmgren(back when coaches so desperately wanted to also be GM) his whole career---things probably go much differently to the positive

Oftentimes it's a team that survives a scare that goes on a run

Playing a division rival, especially back to back, not an easy thing to do

They're on to Buffalo, the games behind them become meaningless
Exactly. Lot of benefits to winning ugly

Survive and advance

I thought CIncy (had em -8) would overcome the poor right side of the OL like last yr, but Balty clearly outplayed them, much more yards, running and even passing, more FDs, etc, one monumental freak play changed the game.
If that third OL, the LT, is out too, I cannot see them making it much further, if they make it to play KC, not looking good.
We shall see.

Holmgren was overrated imo also. His coaching cost Green Bay in SB loss with Denver. You're gashing Denver with the run in 1st half , couldn't stop Levins, but you decide to abandon the run in the 2nd half.

What?

There is no benefit of winning ugly. The only benefit is the winning part which you also get when you dominate.

Stupid.

He reeled in Favre and made him play with more discipline. No other coach could accomplish this...

I wouldn't say Holmgren was overrated. He also took Seattle to the SB.

The OLine injuries piling up are concerning

Baltimore played a great game, no doubt. But Bengals stepped up and made plays when they had to

I thought Ravens wanted to muck the game up and they did so. Lot of of extra hitting, chippy ness, and refs let it go for most part.

Huntley also made some incredible plays…turning 5-10 yard losses into longer plays. Very frustrating to watch

But Bengals found a way which is all that matters. Just like the Bills, who also didn’t play well

10,000 to 1 shot of flipping a TD against you to for you...

Then Bengals defense gets a stop.

Burrow with a chance to ice it goes 3 and out.

It's just hilarious to hear revisionist history. Bengals won because of dumb luck. It happens. Congrats to them. See if they take advantage of it---but i believe they get stomped by Bills.

Didn't help Vikings in the next round when that had that miracle win against Saints with Diggs.

Glad to see Hubbard as the one to make that spectacular play. Born and raised in Cincinnati, a lifelong Bengals fan. National title at Ohio State

Been through a lot of losing on Bengals. Cool to see him a part of winning era

A couple of freak losses was part of the could've been. Think it was 98 season maybe his 3rd MVP year, they got beat by the Owen's catch on last play of game. Play was set up with a horrific no call on Rice with a reception. No replay at that time. Favre was brilliant that day. Also the 4th and 26 pass by McNabb that Packers didn't defend that would've ended that game. I thought that was a great team that was going to the SB.
I had won the RX/Skybook SB contest that year and thought I would see the Packers in SB.

My bad it sounds the same but it’s actually parity not parody for those who care

Speaking of the 4th and 26 game.

What i remember even more than 4th and 26 is 4th and inches at around philly's 40 yard line. This is what the Packers had to win the game.

Favre ran and came up less than a yard short of the 1st down to basically seal it. But "old school" way of thinking was to punt instead of going for it and winning the game. There is 0 chance a team punts in that situation now. Huge huge mistake to punt there---had also been running over philly all day.

In sports, parity is when participating teams have roughly equivalent levels of talent. In such a league, the "best" team is not significantly better than the "worst" team. This leads to more competitive contests where the winner cannot be easily predicted. The opposite condition, which could be considered "disparity" between teams, is a condition where the elite teams are so much more talented that the lesser teams are hopelessly outmatched.
