QOH - one more question on the above example of calculations - in the lineoff section, the 81 should really be divided by 2 and then by 10, to get 4.1, is that right ? I know this was covered earlier in this thread, but I just wanted to make sure. Thanks !

Would you use these same numbers for college. For the line off with the bigger spreads in college, would anything over 50 be divided by 2, then by 10

I just spent like 3o minutes reworking that entire post and ..did a very simple breakdown of how i do it and it did not post !!!! dam it!!!! anyways ...you are right on.

Ive never messed with NCAA. ...I have no clue where to point you. ask me something NFL and I can most likely direct you.

regarding MYLINE 2010.


If you are going to use preseason to get your sheet up and running . after tonight, you will have all the necasarry stats to get started .

use weeks 3 and 4 to get you started headed into week 1 . You can start with week1 regular season ..it makes very little difference ( ACE's words) . You just get a head start and a little practice.

Simple.

The 6 is the final sum of My Line, that is the value we are looking for.

The never higher than 5 period is the final sum of Line off just 1 part of My line.

Each week you enter the line off for each team .. If the total is higher than 50 you divide in half and then by 10.

Thus

50 being max means 50 /10=5.0

If it was 81:

81/2=40.5.

40.5/10=4.5

Only a 1/2 point diff// ( I believe that anything over 50 screws the math up) ... Aces formulas

He been doing this a long long time...

stick it up here anyways.....we have boocoos of good people in this forum who may be willing to work with you on it. ....I like doing Everything by hand. Spreadsheets are a luxury.

its hard to put it in words....take a game that is a +6 value on my line....look at the ones that are bang up,ones they got (will they help)...do the match-up at key spots...qb vs qb...so on...the key is ...is all other parts that you see value...match what myline is saying......pick 10 part of the game that you feel is inportant....7 says yes 3 say no...it would be a pick...one place I go is Covers...in the matchups....3rd best tool to use....check it out

I look at the rushing yards and passing yards by a team home/away at the NFL site and try to cypher who might have an edge I try and look at that and make a pick that's about it, I don't have the knowledge to do more than that, I don't know what you mean by tools?
