Even though I felt the disparity in talent was present here I should have looked at this more rationally. I should have considered Ronaldo being out and ManU not scoring well and compared that with Arshavin being present along with newcomer Danny for Zenit. That would tell me that Zenit had the capability to win here and should have put a small amount on the 5.50.
Maybe some day I'll grow a pair and not be so conservative.

My 2nd favorite team starts their new season!!!! Now part of the reason NEC was so successful in the 2nd half of their season was that they traded for 4 players who did not play much on the teams they were traded from. This gave the team fresh legs and added energy. That advantage won't be evident here since the team will be starting new. However, it is evident that NEC learned to play well as a team and that should carry over to this year.
NEC won 17 of their last 19 matches to end the season.
De Graafschap only won 4 of their last 30 matches to end their season.
