Liverpool will be up for this at home in front of the Kop hell bent on revenging Saturdays defeat. I seriously wonder if Arsenal really care ? What kind of side will they play ? Expect Arsene to rest a few regulars, a luxury Rafa does not have chasing their last hope of silverware for the 2006-07 season (they have no chance in CL and they know it).

Joey, i took Liverpool that day the match went postponed knowing that a victory of any kind by Liverpool would have been a huge psychological boost for the upcoming fixture in the FA Cup. But now everyone are pretty gutted in the team. Carling Cup has been a Mickey Mouse Cup since day one, you only want it if you couldn't get anything else, winning this trophy would means less criticisms for the manager and the team for underachieving. Having said that, it's a good call to play Liverpool! I've never been to Marbella during this time of the year, hope you are having a blast!

Benetez is a fucking moron for putting out a reserve team for this game. These fans needed a team win against Arsenal in this situation, regardless of what team Arsene puts out there and regardless of what competition they are playing in.
If they dont have a great second half and give the Kop something to cheer about this loss could have serious, long term reprecutions for Rafa Benetez.

Regardless of the league, a score such as this, is sometimes quite telling of players not buying into a coaching system. Don't know much of this team or this league, but am all too familiar with this scenario in Serie A. Hopefully this is not a portent of things to come for Liverpool. If it is, I would begin to wonder if they are ripe for a few consecutive fade plays. I'll ponder that over
