Sane Gun Control does not mean banning, and nowhere in this poor soul's statement was the word banning used. It means stricter controls, strict background checks, longer waiting periods, etc. Make it more difficult to get guns. Stuff the NRA used to be for, and most of America is for. Until the NRA became a simple mouthpiece for Gun Manufacturers, and for the uncontrolled proliferation of guns.

Guesser,
What would be in this kids background check. I don't know his criminal record, which I do agree that felons shouldn't be allowed guns, but what should the background checks consist of? And who sold this kid a gun. Logical thought here, but when I buy a gun, my background is always checked. What do they look for?
Making it harder for Law abiding, sane Citizens to get guns will not solve what happened here....May God bless the souls of the victims & their families..
Psychological testing and evaluation. This sicko was undergoing treatment for years? And yet he legally got multiple guns? There were enough red flags that should have prevented this guy from obtaining Guns legally if we had REAL, DEEP background checking. Will it always weed out sickos like this? No, nothing will, but anything that will weed out some is beneficial to society, don't you think. But it's a moot point, and I get it. The NRA has won. They want as few checks and restrictions as possible, because they are only interested in protecting Gun Manufacturers. Not society.
Sane gun control means it should be more difficult for me to get a gun? Why? What have I done to have to forfeit my right to defend myself?Sane Gun Control does not mean banning, and nowhere in this poor soul's statement was the word banning used. Do you own a gun or have any desire to own one?
