Most here fear DeSantis way more. And I live around pretty much all libs/moderate Dems

Fear in what way?

We’re not talking about electability. Your having an entirely different discussion

You have to read the conversation back I think, you’re making a different point

He’s a unique threat who wants to destroy democracy however if we’re more likely to beat him than the other guy, I hope he’s the nominee isn’t a very consistent opinion.

it just proves they don’t really believe most of what they say about trump, they believe that about all republicans basically

I think he’ll lose too but it’ll be hilarious if he wins and we get the Hitler 2.0 pivot, will anyone listen this time?

Are you not saying liberals fear Trump could win again? Or are you saying they just fear him in some other way?

I'm saying liberals fear that DeSantis in that he could legitimately win the election

Ah I see. Yeah sorry I kinda thought the destroy democracy crap was just sarcasm

I think most people in general know Trump ain't gonna do that. You will get the psycho left people who say that shit to fear monger (which is kinda ironic if you think about)

Umm there was a congressional investigation about him colluding with Russia which was BS, think it’s more than a few “psycho left people” who believe that

people have had relationships greatly altered or even destroyed because of their support of this man lol

This isn’t a remotely fringe liberal belief, it was the main talking point during the last primary

He is a unique threat to democracy and America and unfit for office. That is their opinion, so if that’s their opinion, why do they want him to be the nominee?

Of course they want him to win, they think he’ll lose. And most of their critiques of him they would say about any Republican.

The overwhelming majority of people just think he is a narcissistic asshole whose qualifications for the job are underwhelming, which is hard to argue against tbh.

I think the shock/disbelief/outrage is more about how absurd of a guy he is lol I don't think it's genuine fear about him hurting democracy.

I don't think a lot of people think about the notion of democracy ending, let alone fear it. That's just MSNBC shit. They just don't want the absurd character that is Donald Trump in office.

So when the Democrat party as well as all of the left wing media publications say this, you think they’re full of shit? That’s just a gross and unfair characterization of Donald J Trump?

no shit? That’s good to hear

Of course they are. Neither the party nor the left wing media actually think he's gonna ruin democracy.

They're stirring the pot, that's their job.

Oh it’s just politics and he’s fine really? Not a remotely unique or existential threat

Do you honestly believe if he gets the nomination that the majority of democrats will really feel the way you are saying they feel right now?

cmon, of course not

there was a poll before the midterms that said like 90% of Dems think the MAGA movement is a threat to democracy, maybe I’ll go looking for it

qualifications to run for President is probably the worst thing you can have going for you .. If you've been around Washington DC for 50 years with nothing to show for it , that isn't a good qualification.

Can I start to wonder how much the president of the united states actually does if the 2 front runners are one in his 80s and one pushing 80. Just LOL shit.

This isn't being pope; president should be an actual difficult job.

Let Trump have his pro wrestler rallies and the other nap.

Also Pat's, don't look now but SF is trying to nudge into rodgers sweepstakes. Though I will say I forgot what our bet amount was...haha

Biden/Trump 2.0 seems so surreal and bizarre that it feels like it won't happen. It just feels too......weird.

But then again, who else would either party run? It feels likely to happen. I dunno, think everyone would be wise to not fall into the trap of following it too much. Trump is crack cocaine to the media, he props up all their failing old media businesses as well as helps new media as well. So that is another reason they want him to run, besides thinking he is more beatable.

I know a president being indicted is a big deal, but hush $ to a porn star is hardly OJ slicing and dicing two whiteys and look at all the coverage for that.

Couldn't care less about it.

What does make me laugh is Trump at last count(I saw) getting 6 million in donations for his defense.

Anyone that donated money to Trump for his defense attorneys shouldn't be allowed to vote and you really should be someone's pet as you're not intelligent enough to be an actual human being(imo).

Even worse than the brain dead that buy multiple shares of Packer "stock" for themselves. There really should be a law to protect people from donating money to those much much richer than them. Just my pet peeve.

Lastly, we have some weird arbitrary law that you can't be under 35 and president. Yet no problems with 2 guys at true nursing home age being president.

The only thing these 2 should be debating is the flavor of the apple sauce for the week at the home---and news flash its APPLE CINAMMON and its always Apple cinnamon but everyone is to old to remember....

Is that where the money is going ? his defense ? Not that it matters to me either way , but thought it was for his campaign.
