I don't hate vitt either. He has had some good post in the past.
But he's wrong about this subject.

I keep waiting for him to tell us he does better against good players then he does against bad players
Thats always a favorite of mine

you're not getting it.....ive been playing for years ...both online and live. Im going off what i see. The bad play is way more prevelant online. I simply wont play high stakes because of the cheating and the horrific play.

So basically what you are saying is the players are so bad online that you can't win so you would rather play live against players that you perceive to be better.

Refer to my last post before this one. My crystal ball is working very well today.

Final post of this thread for me. Can't believe I wasted so much time on this shit.

You see this is the problem when you are not on the same level knowledge wise. When that happens you don't comprehend what I was telling you. I was not trying to imply that there has never been corruption with online poker. The ap/ub is a great example. Those were not the comments I took issue with. The comments I had an issue with we're things that every donk who has ever posted at 2+2 post.

They rig the software.
AA gets cracked everytime by99
You have to play more aggressive to fool the software into making it think your a donk.

These are all comments that a real poker player would never make excluding a situation like ap/ub.

But you are not even knowledgeable enough about this subject to even know how ignorant you sound about this subject

You know more about online poker than i do? thats the argument you want. Ok, you win. Im basing my comments on my experience and the fact that many players at Ub discussed the 9's vs aces things.....ive heard many stories from ams and pros regarding internet software cheats and so many things you have no idea about.

Do you have any idea how many players that have made hundreds of thousands of dollars that never played a real money hand on the internet?

Jesus fucking christ....thank god that was your last post. I do better live and therefore play very small stakes online.....is it because the players online are worse? maybe, maybe not.....but thats my opinion. end of story

What about it do you disagree with? Umm, playing 3-400 hands an hour > playing 40 hands an hour for good player, 40 hands an owner > 300 hands an hour for bad player. That is just the beginning of it as well, once you get to skill level it isn't even close. I don't really play poker (I used to some but just not into it, someday I might try to play more) but I have friends that are pros in both online and live tourney that are well known in the poker world and they would laugh at any type of "Live is harder than online" statement.

online is also more prone to hit and run in my opinion....guys tend to smash you and be gone. Another reason online hasnt worked for me. If im with same player for a decent amount of time....i feel i will get every chip.....that chance is less for me online....again based on my own experience.

This doesn't have too much to do with anything, but a lot of live pros don't play online because it is out of their league so that is maybe why a lot of those guys diss online poker because the online game is Grad School and live poker is 6th grade.

We will just have to agree to disagree. I see online poker more as romper room special ed kids on steroids.

Nope. Come to realize this is just a board full of talk. Most everybody is either broke or knows they would lose... once somebody has to put something behind their words....excuses start. Thought on a wagering forum there might actually be some gamblers.

What was the job you quit to do what you do now? Was it the job for the Dems you had mentioned?

The first page was entertaining. The next 5, not so.

Nothing positive ever comes from the "then make the bet you idiot" threads

The job I had at that time...was an aide to an elected official but only I had that job for 2 years before I decided to leave.

How did your wife take it the first time you brought it up? The reason I'm asking is, I had a full time job for US Steel when I decided to quit a steady job of 17 years to go on my own. She was very Leary about it, especially because of the benefits. Our daughters were 10 and 11 then. I was working both jobs full time when I quit the mill. It was killing me. Just wondering how your wife took the news. Especially considering what you planned on doing for income.

I played in a tournament when I was still working and the entry was a little over 1k. I won it and it paid 90k. I talked it over with the wife and although she wasn't thrilled about it, I was pretty confident I would be able to go back to work if it didn't work it. It turned out to work out and she was a little better about it then. Lol. Althouh she thinks I should go back to work now, just because I'm not doing much. As you can tell from my posts here. The people that gave us the most hassle about it were her parents. Very conservative people and thought it was a bad idea. They still have a problem with it actually.
