I wanna believe there's a god.

Then why don't you? Probably the only barrier is your pride. Maybe you just don't want to feel indebted for the many blessings He has given you. It also makes it much easier to live a selfish, self-centered life if you are not accountable at a final judgement.

And finally, who are we to say there is no God? By what authority and proven intelligence. We are finite and limited by space and time. Our judgement cannot possibly be an authorative one.

Of course there is no God. But even if there was, to believe in one is not logical, and is not supported by any rational thought or even science. Most people believe what their parents believe...whatever the Country or Culture. The bottom line is that most of the smartest and successful people in the world understand that the cause and effect of their success had nothing to do with a higher power. Lots of losers and morons believe in God, and they suffer with a suckass quality of life that is pretty dishonest.

People who don't believe in God are usually quite spiritual, but most people don't understand that part. If you are honest about being a critical thinker then you really can't make the leap to believing in God unless you are lying to yourself. Have fun while you can because when it is over....it is over.

This fella flipped a free Katrina home and told the church to "Take it up with God". Maybe there is Karma, but no God.

That says it all. You need to 'believe' in order to think there is a god. There is no evidence, just traditions passed on generation by generation. I'm not saying that a God does not exist, but there isn't anything to prove that one exists.

That's why they call it "faith."

Based on your logic, heaven and hell must exist because you can't prove that they don't.

You didn't make it very far in school, did you? You believe it's impossible for the universe to have been spontaneously created, but have no problem believing god was. The proof that I am living on earth does not prove the existence of god.

You are saying that something so complex as nature had to be designed, but that God, who is even more complex than we are or this world is, just spontaneously appeared. If we had to be designed, why didn't God have to be designed?

If we knew the answer to that, we would be God, wouldn't we? And the fact that we are not upsets us so that we just simply claim He doesn't exist. In other words, "If I can't be God, then there is no God." Quite humorous, yet very telling.

Secondly, if there is a God, why do we find it so hard to accept His love for us? Some of you despise God's love for you so much that you claim it can't be possible because He doesn't exist. Do you hate yourselves so severly that you can't accept the possibility that there is a God who loves you despite your shortcomings? He sent His only Son to die for you, and you spit in his face. Tragic. So sad.

But whatever, I'm not saying the they're dumb, but they just follow their parent, their culture. If they're born into a family that doesn't believe in God, then 95% of their children won't either.

I dont know if God exists or doesnt. Frankly, I don't care. I plan to live my life to the fullest and treat everyone as I want to be treated. That's my religion. I'll write a book too. And hide it in a tomb so in 2000 yrs from now, ppl who finds it will think that that's the way to live. It wont have anything bad. Just the common things like dont kill anyone, be nice, treat your mom and dad nice, etc... I'll even make it a little more exciting. I'll have a skeleton holding on to the book and give them something extra to talk about. Maybe they'll think that the person was trying to spread the word and was exacuated for doing so. When i reality, it was my dumbass trying to pass some time.

I disagree. I believe the people in this forum to be intelligent and informed individuals. No one has offered any reason to believe in God or evidence of his existance. This leads me to the conclusion that in fact, God does not exist. If you have any compelling arguments I will be glad to listen.
