In other words. You have no proof that God exists. Let me ask you something. In genesis chapter 4 where God sends Cain away and he takes a wife and bares children. If there was only Adam, Eve, and Cain on the earth at this time. Where does the wife come from? The book you are quoting is full of contradictions. If it's the word of God, why does it contain so many mistakes?

This site calls religion into question, not God. Religion is man's attempt at explaining what he cannot explain, and is therefore complete bulls*it. Personally I believe there is a God, but I think all religions are a joke.
As far as arguments for the existance of God, there are a few good ones. Google Thomas Hume's Dialogues Concerning Natural Religion. St. Thomas Aquinas also had some pretty good arguments.
The best argument in my opinion is the argument by design. This basically says that our world is made up of an intelligent design that cannot be happenstance or chance. You can look nearly anywhere to see the evidence and complexity of this design--at the inner workings of your own body, at the cells under a microscope, in a flower garden.
There is an intelligent fingerprint on all living things that cannot be explained by anything other than a superior being.
Is it possible that the universe just appeared out of nowhere one day? That is a hard one for me to get past. It has to be by someone's design.

I grew up in a Catholic household and went to parochial schools, and I still question everything. The key is that it is "faith," for all those geniuses out there. You have to believe without proof, that is the idea. Anyway, I have no clue if God exists, but I do know that people believe because they are afraid not to believe in something which is ludicrous and actually makes me not believe in God more. It is a scary thought to think it is over when it is over, but that gives me more of a gut feeling that God does not exist. You are a fool if you deal with things in absolutes though, so the search is always on.
