Do we have at least 10 people with enough nerve for a $500 survivor contest. Winner take all?

I was going to join until the re-buying entered the discussion. This should be single elimination winner take all.

1 person talked about a buy in, I don't see a lot of support for that

but I think it looks as if we may be going with a double elimination. We pay the last undefeated team 1k, and that team will still be favored to win it all. The overall winner gets the balance

for $ 500 it gives the contest a little more juice, and the pool is so small the contest may be over in 8 weeks with single elimination.

I guess we will have an official vote on Tuesday when registration closes? I'm kinda on the fence between singe and double elimination at the moment.

I vote yes for the vote, but it is Chop's pool so that may be his call. Having said that, he did state "winner take all" so he may be best advised to have a vote to make a change.

As long as there is no prize for 2nd place this keeps in place the very real chance of only one person getting all the money.

Even with 2 strikes the person who goes the longest with no strikes gets rewarded and is also the prohibitive favorite to win the 2 strikes bet.

i will probably be in.
Is it confirmed, 2 strikes, whoever goes longest without *One* Strike gets something (like 1K) and the rest is to the overall winner?

Pretty much .

this is what's for certain.

No rebuys
No priZe for 2nd place.

1 person will have the ability to win the entire pot.

either implement a vote or make the call Chop, I think the proposal has a lot of support

1) double elimination, 1k for last undefeated team and balance to last man standing
2) single elimination, 100% to last man standing

I really think that for $ 500, we should give players a better opportunity to play longer. And with such a small pool, I doubt this contest doesn't end in the regular season

but if it does, after week 17, any undefeated teams split the 1k and teams with the fewest losses split the pot

(ie:1 team has zero losses and 2 teams have 1 loss, the undefeated teams takes it all)

Seymour paid

8 people paid with over 1 week to go. Usually these things tend to have a flurry at the end

should get to 10, maybe 12-15 with any luck

I changed it to 2 strikes. 3 strikes is an option on the game, are you sure you ladies don't want that?

I'm the commish of this league. I changed the game rules to two strikes and you're out. I figured that was where it was headed. I can change it again if need be. The game has 3 option: 1,2, or 3 strikes and you're out.
